this really shouldn't be happening can you record a video or something? I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say that we always like seeing gamebryo shit itself in new and exciting ways
I recall Fallout 3 had a similar mechanic that caused slightly off ballistics but it was never this bad. If the issue persists after I reinstall all the mods and the game. I'll try and figure out recording software to try and capture it.
What ballistics mods are you using because they might be causing the problem. Also Project Nevada has a recoil feature, disabling that might fix it.
I tried Deus Ex Spread that was suggested like 2-3 pages back. And I also tried something called Precision Ballistics if I recall the name correctly. Both seemed to make no difference. I'm gonna just uninstall all the mods and reinstall the game clean, and try vanilla then start putting in the mods one by one as I go and see if I can narrow down what causes it or if reinstalling it all will entirely fix the issue at hand.

I think it was one of Gopher's New Vegas playthrough videos.
Don't hip-fire.
also turn off crosshairs to prevent yourself from doing it
also turn off crosshairs to prevent yourself from doing it
I still hipfire when they're close. But I just got the run and gun perk so ha.

Also Precision Ballistics just gives bullets actual ballistic properties which is kind of useless since most of the combat in this game doesn't take place past 150m so any ballistics going on won't be noticeable.
Don't know how society got so mixed up on things when there's pre-war ghouls about.
Who exactly is mixed up about what?

I still find zero difference between Deus Ex spread and Precision Ballistics. Still. For now I've given up and just wiped all that shit out including monster mod, project nevada and the rest. I just find New Vegas dull as all hell without any conversion mods.
It was still fun even without all of the mods, especially to all of us that played at launch when there were few mods.
I played at launch also, same with Fallout 3. I just can't stand to play through again without something to change the gameplay as I find vanilla somewhat dull now that I've been through it and such. Does anyone have any decent mod recommendations, excluding project nevada and tale of two wastelands?
And now for the conclusion of Pokemon: New Vegas (Spoilers for NCR ending so linked screenshots + spoiler text.) http://i.imgur.com/gb284yY.jpg [sp]The Trainer was ready for his final battle, the battle against the Champion and evil leader of Team Legion, Legate Lanius, so he set off with his full team and battled against tons of grunts. They fought hard against the many grunts which seemed to be never ending, but that didn't stop them.[/sp] http://i.imgur.com/bE00nP0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UXpC6Fh.jpg A shot of the full team. http://i.imgur.com/UfzjwrY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/G3JB3xK.jpg [sp] Finally, he and his team made it to the dreaded champion. Ready to fight, they charged right at him[/sp] http://i.imgur.com/C3q5InU.jpg [sp] They got their asses handed to them a couple of times though.[/sp] http://i.imgur.com/ydFO1jX.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DcJwhLT.jpg [sp] Still, he had arisen as a victor... eventually, and headed off to meet the new leaders of the Vegas region.[/sp] http://i.imgur.com/sGXSRSK.jpg [sp]After the following events, the Lone Trainer was never to be seen again, as if he had filled his destiny. Some say he went off to go and finish the legion. Well, that was until they found him and his team dead in a ditch from trying to catch a legendary deathclaw. Oh and war, war never changes I guess.[/sp]
Mother of fuck, that looks amazing...
Who exactly is mixed up about what?
I dunno, how the NCR and The Followers are the only groups that managed to replicate a modern-like functioning society on a scale larger than 30 people. Vault 15 as well, I guess but who knows what happened to them after Fallout 2. You'd think with the educational resources available in control Vaults (and even from deserted fucked-up Vaults) things would be relatively simple. There wouldn't be all this mystique about the Old World and tribals and stuff. And how did a Follower like Edward Sallow get really fucked-up in the head to create Caesar's Legion? You'd think the Followers would pick up on megalomania like his. I've heard his account and Joshua's but he seemed to jump off the slippery slip yelling "CANNONBALL!" all the way down. [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Fucking tosspot he is, blud.

There's a reason the Roman Empire fell into multiple state kingdoms after it's fall in the west, and why concrete, a pinnacle and extremely important resource and material in Roman architecture, was lost until the middle of the 18th century.

[editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Fucking tosspot he is, blud.
So, speculation: The war was fought in a way that left few survivors. I'm sure many areas were left without the population density to actually establish a civilization like the Core Region. There are logistical problems that take more than knowledge to overcome. On the other hand, there's the Shi. They had everything the NCR had: they lived in a similar climate, and they were probably part of the same trade network. They have everything the BoS and Enclave had: a population made up of scientists and soldiers. They have none of the disadvantages that the NCR, BoS, or Enclave had: they're not a super exclusive club of trinket hoarders, their government is efficient and helpful, they have no genocidal schemes and they don't live in the middle of the ocean. On top of that, they have a huge steel fortress. On top of that, they have a supercomputer that can predict the future as their leader. Their only real problem was the Hubologists, but then again the NCR had to deal with both the Unity and the Followers. Why are the Shi so damn lazy?
Still feels like there's a lot forgotten when there's the resources available. I guess I find it hard to believe that raiders could spring up when the value of 'rule of law' would still be prevailant in Vault culture. [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Probably yet another reason I wouldn't last long in a post-kablooey world.
Every time someone mentions Oblivion and MMM, someone will reinstall and play with FCOM, or at least OOO and MMM.
*Edit*: Screw what I was recommending, look to the post below me!
Bit late here, but for anyone who is interested in installing FCOM here is what appears to be the most up to date and most articulate guide: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8BTIQGFFmHPWmNCbVdSUXFDRXc/edit Along with the thread for it: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1473775-an-up-to-date-fcom-guide/ Ah! And you will also need steam mover to move Oblivion from the steam directory to C/Games (you will probably encounter issues otherwise): http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover I know this is deviating a bit from the thread, and I apologize for doing such; it is just that finding that guide proved to be difficult as it certainly was not one of the first results. I think it is worth saving people the headaches though, and as such I will be posting this in the Elder Scrolls thread.
Or you can get the FCOM superpack which has everything already installed.
I'll just leave this here:

i found an anti-material rifle and ~300 explosive .50 rounds for it. New Vegas is fun again. You can vaporize most things in one shot with this thing.
I wander if this wizard could change the elusive "game feel". The only thing that puts me off playing the Bethesda Fallout games on PC is the game feel. Why can't they just leave the mouse as is, or is there something I am missing? I sometimes plug-in an Xbox controller but I just don't like it. Now, I'm not exactly expecting Counter-Strike levels of game/gun feel but I wouldn't mind some improvement, even with the GUI Mouse - which feels like it's got glue on it.

It really helps the mouse
Overhauls or mods in general?
Both are viable. I downloaded FOOK and installed it but haven't had the chance to launch it yet and play due to work. But yes. Both are viable options. Just as-long as it makes the game relatively interesting in a manner of speaking.
Wow why won't he upload it? I want this! Vanilla recoil is so lame.
there is this: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46433/? its essentially the same thing, the only thing it doesn't have is camera rotation but hell it's better than nothing.
so I'm finally being a good fallout fan and am starting to play Fallout 1 and 2 First was kinda hard but as long as I save often it isn't bad I don't think
Is there any mod or patch out there that adds a better shadow system to FO3 or FONV? Something nicer than forcing ambient occlusion, something to give the metro tunnels, underground bases, dimly lit houses and deep, winding caves a far more genuine feel to them. I know dynamic lighting was never included in the game, but has anyone tried to add it in?
