Fallout Series Thread V14: When i entered this thread i was hoping there would be more gambling - Games

is awop recommended/compatible with most things?

awop adds a few locations, weapons, ands armor to the game, but there are lots of mcompatability patches out there for major mods like project nevada or other worldspace mods

Also AWOP is an insufferable piece of shit because its balancing is so insane you pretty much have to be max-level with Remnants armor to get around without having your head taken off by some stupid power-armored Raider with magically more damaging M weapons.

Does anyone know a couple of good mods that extend gameplay for fallout 3 and fallout nv? I've done litteraly everything that you can do and I'm bored as hell.

If you want more action in NV, just get NV bounties or IWS and increase spawns by like 2-3 guys. AWOP is finicky on its balancing from what I've heard, and for a lot of people, the mod gets uninstalled right after they've played around with it.

There's no voice acting whatsoever aswell. That's always a big turn off for me. In general AWOP just reeks of poor polishing. Fo3 AWOP looks miles better but again, no voice acting.

I got done with a TTW playthrough recently and thought I'd move on to another game but whatever I try to play I just feel like I want more fallout, help.

Are there any alternatives to the fallout monster mod? That mod seems to have corpses that crash my game.

I decided to install and start playing fallout 2 again. I never remember why I kept losing interest in it, it seems really fun now and then I get the fucking "save smiley from the 200 FUCKING GOLDEN GECKOS AT LEVEL 3 WITH NO WEAPONS HAHAH LOL FUCK YOU" because I can't fucking find the 10mm pistol that's apparently in the rat caves fuck this town I'm goin to the den to fuck bitches and get vic EDIT: Now I remember why I always stop playing this game. It's because the fucking combat blows shit. what's the fucking point of having 100% gun skill if I still miss every single fucking shot then some fucking retard accidentally hits my follower and now they're trying to kill me too, fucking christ who the hell thought this was okay

I actually wanted to play a playthrough playing a really incredibly weak scientist that can only really fight by using robots and stuff through RobCo Certified, maybe something like that or Enclave Commander could toss things up for you.

oh good god this is just getting worse I'm attacked by a horde of dogs. You know, dogs, the quintessential first enemy in a game, the one you can usually mow down in packs. I have the combat on WIMPY. THEY JUST FUCKING HORDE AROUND ME INSTANTLY AND BIT ME FOR FUCKING 10 DAMAGE APIECE who the FUCK decided the damage levels in this game, jesus christ. I have fun with it, right up until any encounter where I need to do any sort of combat whatsoever. Even enemies that I had no trouble with before are just fucking dodging bullets and shit here.

The first few levels of fallout 2 are difficult, don't do the gecko stuff come back to that later. Also, run away from most random encounters (as in literally run out of the encounter map during combat) I always find New Reno and The Den are the best places to raise yourself a few levels at the start, then you can go to NCR and San Fran to buy/steal better equipment and do the huge experience quests in san fran

I've started using Realistic Weapon Damages and on Very Hard it makes the game into an absolutely fair yet fucking nightmarish cataclysm. When I get into close range with a shotgun when an enemy also has a shotgun or high-caliber weapon, it's a split-second between one of us becoming hamburger and it creates such a wonderful amount of tension when I'm caught in a large-scale firefight. Ghost People are also now genuinely lethal rather than just aggravating, shitty bullet-sponges. Killing Violet was an absolutely nerve-wracking stealth mission. I had to creep up on her from the gas station with my Remington 700 with Hollow Points loaded and pop her legs out through my scope, because every time she spotted me she'd have the height and range advantage and take my head clean off.

I wanted it to feel like something you described.

Man, if the next fallout game is anything like the last two I'm going to want to rush through the game and create a radio station so that people don't have to listen to the same 6 songs over and over again.
