Just bumrush san fran and do quest to get the enclave plans, but watch out for enclave troops especially if you got a good CPU (more random encounters basically).
no
do not fucking do this, it's the lamest way to play the game, especially if it's your first playthrough
you should get killap's unofficial patch, tho
and two things: there's no time limit on saving Smiley (or if there is, I never hit it) so you can just come back to the caves with a shotgun or something, and you can always just run from random encounters (and you should unless you've got a solid weapon and some armor to protect your ass)
I'm stupid and illiterate. How do I do the archive invalidation to fix Millennia's WRP? Do I just disable archive invalidation in FOMM, launch the game, close, and then re-enable it?
Man, if the next fallout game is anything like the last two I'm going to want to rush through the game and create a radio station so that people don't have to listen to the same 6 songs over and over again.
Would you guys rather listen to surf music (a little anacronistic, but only by a couple years) from a dude-bro based a little north of dayglow or a big game hunter type man playing classical and/or other music from before the 50s?
Classical, I always felt that 3/NV lacked a proper classical music station

I've done that, but I'm still having issues with the .357 Magnum texture. I'm using WMX and Millennia's WRP. All the other weapons are fine, but the Magnum looks like this.

Any ideas?

The UV map is bugged.
WMX must have changed the model of the .357, re-rendered the UV map, and now millenia's texture which works with the vanilla .357 model doesn't work.
My guess.

Are you using the WMX Millenia WRP compatibility patch?
I've fixed it now, nevermind. I should've read the readme, like an intelligent person.
Man, I tried to do something similar for Skyrim; I picked up a suite of mods that changed the difficulty, loot system, enemy AI, enemy tactics and weaponry, etc. but now it's basically "lol you'd best hope you don't face more than one guy at a time otherwise you're getting a sword/bow/dragon up your ass". I wanted it to feel like something you described.
Welp, that's a shame. Combined with the sprint mod it makes the Sierra Madre a fucking mosh pit. like, no fucking joke, a single hit and it's game fucking over, because you're not gonna get away from the Holograms with a crippled limb or a spear in your eyes. It actually makes the over-hyped and deadly aspects of the game seem actually deadly instead of pussy-level. Like Nelson; I only survived the siege of that because I made Boone, Arcade, and Veronica do most of the work while I flanked people with my CAWS.
Honestly, the CAWS is just fucking silly with RWD and slug rounds. Also, assassinating Motor Runner for his helmet was like a fucking game of Hitman: Silent Assassin.
EDIT: Now I remember why I always stop playing this game. It's because the fucking combat blows shit. what's the fucking point of having 100% gun skill if I still miss every single fucking shot
then some fucking retard accidentally hits my follower and now they're trying to kill me too, fucking christ who the hell thought this was okay
Skills go up to 300% in FO2, 100% means a decent knowledge on said thing and enough to deal with most situations. You won't miss a lot assuming you have a decent perception and isn't shooting in the dark, with 200%+ you won't be missing at all.
Also, as people said before, the game is tough as shit at first and becomes a breeze later on, try to avoid most fights and understand that you'll be doing some juggling if you want to fight something until you get some decent gear.
Oh, and don't forget that pickpocket is pretty exploitable, you can steal people's ammo, weapons, plant live explosives in their pockets, give them a drug overdose and a few other things. It pretty much gets you through anything you can start first.
Update on Fallout 2: after dealing with many a quest and many a quickly-saving-before-each-fight, I have come across decent equipment, freed Sulik and gave him a 10mm smg (although he eats up ammo like hell), did all those quests involving Vault City and Gecko (except killing the raiders harassing Vault City, because fuck those guys, their president sucks and they should just suck it up and join the NCR and stop being a bunch of fuckass slavers (cept McClure tho he's cool)). Went South to Vault 15, stopped by broken hills and got raped by a super mutant, saved their mine, helped a talking plant, and found a glitch that gives me UNLIMITED MONEEEYYY. Found out what the guy in Vault 15 was doing and now I'm headed to NCR to see if they are gonna send some troops over now that the hobos outside don't want anything to do with the raiders inside.
oh, and did I mention I now have a Jackhammer shotgun, an M60 and a rocket launcher, and now have Marcus following me?

Anyone know what this problem is called?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9meCtpW.jpg[/t]
Whats happening is that ENB is basically drawing things it shouldn't be drawing such as surfaces of water and various decals.
I googled "ENB See through walls" bug and I got some sort of fix but it didn't work. I even followed all the instructions so I'm guessing this isn't what the problem is called.
I think that's the game's built in AA messing with the ENB but I might be wrong; still, try turning it off?
IIRC that's the Ambient Occlusion that the ENB provides that is causing that.
IIRC that's the Ambient Occlusion that the ENB provides that is causing that.
This; in the latest version of ENB for NV there's a bug that causes ambient occlusion to show through objects and npcs. If I recall correctly, the only "fix" at the moment is to disable it (ambient occlusion, not the enb entirely).
IIRC that's the Ambient Occlusion that the ENB provides that is causing that.
It's ticked off, still causes it.

Ok this worked thanks
[editline]5th October 2014[/editline]
Now I have a crashing problem.
Basically if I sleep for longer than an hour, my game crashes. Google provides no explanation. I disabled my ENB and it still happens, I uninstalled a few mods and it still happens.
Ok even unchecked all my mods and it still happens. Does it have something to do with my save or
[editline]5th October 2014[/editline]
Did some further debugging.
When I ran the game without my mods on a modded save, it crashed when I slept.
When I ran the game with my mods on a clean save, it did not crash when I slept.
Also it crashes as soon as I "wake up" basically.

Honestly, playing the original FO2 online mod was basically just "Вы нравится вид собственной крови?!" over and over and over.
I installed NVAC and instead of crashing, it froze my pc basically
It spammed the same 3 errors

I assume there's no simple lan coop in FOnline 2?
I'm thinking of getting New Vegas for PC but the weird anime and tacticool mods kind of put me off.
I'm thinking of getting New Vegas for PC but the weird anime and tacticool mods kind of put me off.
Just don't use them?
I'm thinking of getting New Vegas for PC but the weird anime and tacticool mods kind of put me off.
Avoid them and stick to the massive amount of great mods instead? :v:
I just don't want to have to wade through the garbage to find the gems. I'm beginning to doubt my own commitment to this game, maybe I never wanted it in the first place. I've already played it to death on the 360, are there really any mods would capture my attention for more than five minutes? If somebody can refer me to a list of worthwhile mods then maybe I'll decide. Maybe.
This was also a joke, just not a very relevant one.

You really don't have to look far for good mods. People here will readily recommend good mods worth getting.
