Disintegrate him and he wont respawn, nor will your missions fail. :v:
The combat shotgun is horrendous because of the mag placement, but I like the 9mm SMG because it looks like a WW2 Grease Gun.
The sawn off is gross and I always use a Millenia gun or hunting shotgun over it.
the combat shotgun looks very much like a ppsh-41 converted to fire buckshot

that is the most disgusting grip I've ever seen..why does it have a hinge on the handle? why is it so angular? You cannot honestly tell me that that looks better than something like this:

well it certainly doesn't
but i've never actually paid attention to the in-game models of the weapons, so i assumed it was the bottom picture.
you should really be able to tackle deathclaws in project nevada if your strength is at 10. the idea of being a regular human and getting as strong as frank horrigan and just brute-forcing super mutants and 9 foot tall death lizards to the ground is basically what fallout is about to me
[editline]15th October[/editline]
can you imagine how crazy built you would have to be to force one of those off its feet? you would have to weigh like 600 pounds
So I've been getting lot of crashes recently after about 15 hours of in-game in New Vegas with TTW, currently running through The Pitt after finishing the other DLC.
It crashes maybe every fifth or sixth loading screen, I crash while just walking around sometimes too but not nearly as often. I haven't changed any mods or something like that, so I have no idea what is causing this.
I am using the NVSE, New Vegas Anti Crash and New Vegas 4GB.
I've got a lot of mods, and I tried out letting BOSS change my load order, but nothing. Can I disable most of my mods without starting anew? I really just need maybe 5 of them to have fun, I don't want to start a new character.
Here is my loadorder:

I don't know if it's causing the crashes but you might only need one of these? Then again I haven't played modded FNV in forever

Hmm yeah that might be it, I'll try disabling two of them.
Hadn't thought about that at all, thanks. :)

Yep this one slipped by me before. Kind of weird how it can just instantly crash like that.

Disable EVE - NO DLC and EVE - NO GRA to start. Maybe the Project Brazil NV Courier Stash Control if that doesn't fix it.
Alright I disabled the EVE thingies and the Project Brazil thing now.
I still crash when fast travelling really long, for example every time I travel from DC to something near Megaton.
Anything that might be causing this? I can fast travel just fine, just not over long distances at once.

Just a guess but it might be something to do with animation. The fact that there are no other weapons in the game that would be held like that one handed, they probably designed it like that so it used the pistol animation instead.
Preaching to the choir mate.
Other notable weapons: combat shotgun, 9mm smg.
I'd love the combat shotgun if the mag wasn't wall the way at the front for some reason.
A really shitty mockup of what I'd like

so instead of making a set of animations they'd rather take the time and effort to make the most disgusting sawed off shotgun model in any videogame ever created?

I had this issue once. Try waiting one hour. If it doesn't work, wait three days.
so instead of making a set of animations they'd rather take the time and effort to make the most disgusting sawed off shotgun model in any videogame ever created?
Beyond personal opinions; we'll never know exactly why they did that, as the gun uses unique reloading animations meant for it (from Fallout 3, as NV uses its resources). But I suspect it just wasn't worth the time to make a new handgrip and new animations along with a new model (the one in FO:NV is a retexture of FO:3). So I think with FO:NV, with the lack of time they had, its very understandable.
For Bethesda in FO3? I have no clue, I honestly don't know why. But it is what it is.
Maybe someday, some sexy rogue gun smith such as myself will make double barrels that are more properly held. (wink-wink)
Would anyone know if FO:NV or FO3 supported SSAA enabled in Nvidia Inspector? I've tried it with Skyrim(only thing installed atm, plus similar enough engine) and it doesn't like it, glitched shadows and the like.

Theres actually a mod that does just that.

I imagine the animation's all wonky, though.
Well i finally installed FONV again, FO3 seemed to crash a lot on me. Anyways I fiddled with Nvidia Inspector and now it's using hybrid SSAA, at 2x2 SSAA and 4x OGMSAA. Keeps around 60fps out in the open easily and there's very little jaggedness. No known bugs or glitches, but i haven't really tested it much.
Will I have to start a new game when installing TTW?
Can you use TTW with a pre-existing New Vegas save? And does TTW merge both games' perks together and raise the level cap to 60?
I imagine the animation's all wonky, though.
Most likely, but thats probably not ever gonna be fixed. There's about 3 modders who can create new weapon animations and two of them aren't really active anymore.

There's too many changes in TTW to realistically use old FNV saves with it, if it'll even load. You'll need a new game
Can you use TTW with a pre-existing New Vegas save? And does TTW merge both games' perks together and raise the level cap to 60?
I don't think it goes as high as 60, but you can probably get a mod for that, if you'll even need it. In my current playthrough I'm not even level 50 and I've got all skills but melee, unarmed, and survival up to 100, and those three are all currently sitting at 80 or above.
So after visiting Nexus a couple of days ago, I decided to install New Vegas again: lots of interesting mods came out, others were updated, fixes etc.
But one thing I can't decide, can someone definitively tell me, is Mission Mojave worth the trouble of its installation and integration with various overhauls and big mods?
there are mods that remove the cap entirely iirc
They really need to do a true 1-300% system again, and just have diminishing returns (ala fallout 2) so you can decide how important that skill is to you to invest more and more points in. Hard skill caps are stupid, just the notion of "this is how good you can be at something, more or less than that is physically impossible" is just an absurd concept from a character development standpoint.
I'm playing Fallout 3 again for the first time in SO FUCKING LONG, and I have like, literally no healing supplies yet. Are there any good early-on quests I can do to get them, or should I just suck it up and sleep whenever I get low on health?
