Okay so funny story. Short story short. I bought Fallout 1 and 2 at my local Value Village. Now, these games play COMPLETELY different from what I'm used to in Fallout 3 and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good sources that would help me understand what the crap I'm supposed to be doing and how not to get mauled to death by 5 giant bear beaver things.
Jesus christ I nearly vomited. The overly clay-like shading, the crushed blacks, the lack of shadowing, the near-fullbright style ambient lighting and lack of radiosity or real color correction whatsoever, Oh god. It's awful.
Still looks better than vanilla
I want to give ENB a try but looking at its INI file makes my head spin, plus the idea of having to close my game and restart it with each tweak annoys me I wish it came with an in game GUI config
There is, just shift+enter to open the ingame GUI for it up and change the settings there. Also, I love it when mods add in small details like this.
Has anyone here ever played fallout tactics awaken?
Si, my amigo It owns, but it's hella hard. Random encounters are brutal and it's pretty easy to just get critted and die from a random molerat. - combat isn't the only option (in settlements, out in the wastes it's a free for all unless you luck out and hit a Brotherhood patrol/city scouts) - get your Small Guns over 100% and enjoy some eye-splattering action - there's no shame in running away. - the Outdoorsman skill lets you choose whether to enter a random encounter or not (not always, but higher Outdoorsman = better chance of having a choice) - take a rope from Shady Sands on your way to Vault 15 - if you meet a friend, don't give them an automatic weapon. Unless you like getting a 10mm back massage every time you blunder into combat - and, obviously: talk to everyone, search every container, save often! - oh, yeah, and read the manual (I'm serious with that suggestion by the way, it's hella useful)
I'm trying to muster up enough willpower to do another playthrough of FO3, i played it to death over the years, and i want something fresh. I've used the hell out of FWE, FOOK, and EVE. I need to know of any good overhaul mods besides those.
There is, just shift+enter to open the ingame GUI for it up and change the settings there.
No there isn't, I hit Shift Enter a bunch of times and nothing happened.

The desert eagle is made in israel.
Does anyone know if there is a default faction in the GECK which is just hostile to the player but neutral to everyone else? I wanna do something with enemies in towns and stuff but I don't want them to actually kill the town
Does anyone have a link for a chicken mask mod? I plan on doing this kind of playthrough.
I want that chicken mask for a Hotline Mojave run. Melee, Guns, Unarmed. Hardcore mode, Very hard. 10 STR, 10 LK, 10 AGL, 1 INT, 1 CHR, 7 PER. Guns are dropped after you expend their mag. Logan's Loophole, Wild Wasteland.

No there isn't, I hit Shift Enter a bunch of times and nothing happened.
Are you sure you are using the latest dll version? [editline]5th July 2013[/editline]
Does anyone have a link for a chicken mask mod?
No there isn't, I hit Shift Enter a bunch of times and nothing happened.
I had to use the right shift otherwise it wouldn't open.
Are you sure you are using the latest dll version?
0.184? It's the latest on the Fallout 3/NV page.
I had to use the right shift otherwise it wouldn't open.
Neither shift would do it.

Can someone tell me why the enemies in Point Lookout are so hard to kill?
Can someone tell me why the enemies in Point Lookout areso hard to kill?
For some reason every Point Lookout enemy has special perks that not only makes them resistant to damage, it also makes their attacks take off more of your health. It's basically the most dumbest way of trying to balance it out for higher leveled players.
No one?
You will probably just have to make your own faction
Can someone tell me why the enemies in Point Lookout are so hard to kill?
I think their attacks have an automatic 35 damage.
I spawned NCR troopers, rangers and deathclaws in Novac. Shortly after NCR finished killing the deathclaws, they suddenly just started attacking Novac's population. I dunno why, but I laughed when NCR rangers just perforated half of the population for no discernible reason. I guess some guard or settler accidentally shot a trooper, thus being the root of all that shitstorm.
I figured out what my problem with ENB was - FNV4GB puts its exe in a subfolder, and that exe wasn't grabbing d3d9.dll And now I have a new problem: Apparently, "unconfigured" does not mean "looks identical to no ENB". Is there a config out there that looks EXACTLY like vanilla FONV does? Like, almost no difference if I turn the effect on and off?
I have no idea what you are trying to ask.

Just turn the ENB off
Why would you want an ENB that looks exactly like Vanilla? Just turn the ENB off
Because I can start at vanilla and tweak from there. Is that not obvious enough for you?
You'd probably want to use the enb config that is provided in the download.
You'd probably want to use the enb config that is provided in the download.
I just said it doesn't look like vanilla.
Oh crap, stupid STEAM downloaded the game for me in Spanish....I just....I just cant stand hearing those gallego voices...is there any way to change language without downloading all over the voice/text files??
Oh crap, stupid STEAM downloaded the game for me in Spanish....I just....I just cant stand hearing those gallego voices...is there any way to change language without downloading all over the voice/text files??
Nope, because Steam doesn't download the English files at all unless you set the language to English.
I just said it doesn't look like vanilla.
Use a blank config file?
