Every time I go there, the force field somehow turns on every time on the same spot, so I took the long way. Pretty difficult, because there is a break on the stairs, so you have to drop 16000 WT of gold so you can jump on to the stairs.
I was gonna say I swear to god they patched it a few months after release. I remember playing it a few days after release and being able to sneak by the field, but after that first play through I was never able to do it again.
I think I used it right? But I'm still having the same issue. [editline]9th November 2014[/editline] UPDATE, so for some reason the top right corner of the map is the cause of it. I spawned there and couldn't last long, so i started a new game this time in Freeside and i got into about 3 gunfights already and nothing has happened. [editline]9th November 2014[/editline] Yeah, I just left freeside and not even 30 seconds outside the door my game crashed
That sounds like a mod might be causing that then?
So I tried playing Tale of Two Wastelands, and it keeps crashing every time I try to make a new game. I hit "New Game", skip the intro, and BAM!!! Crash. Have you guys had a problem like this?
You probably didn't install it right if you don't install it exactly as the instructions specify its not gonna work at all I didn't follow them exactly the first time and It was crashing like that
You probably didn't install it right if you don't install it exactly as the instructions specify its not gonna work at all
I did everything it said to do. I double and triple checked.
You shouldn't be having issues then but otherwise I dunno what's wrong. Are you running it without 4GB New Vegas?
I'm using the 4GB NV like the FAQ recommends.
Dunno what to tell you then, you must have done somethin wrong cuz it should work perfectly if you did everything right
personally the best ending is when you [sp]kill him by locking him in the vault and leave all the gold behind[/sp]
The best ending is where you [sp]lock him in the vault and take all the gold for yourself. "What, there was a moral to this story? Sorry I couldn't hear it over the clinking of all this gold."[/sp]

Sorry I couldn't hear it over the clinking of all this gold."[/sp]
My thoughts were something like [sp]"man everyone here was an asshole and I'm going to take the gold because nobody else needs it and honestly it's probably for the greater good that it gets put back into circulation above ground anyway"[/sp]

The message was good. But my gamer senses want that gold, so I'm taking it.
The gold would also be useful from a manufacturing standpoint, so yoink... If I donate some to the Followers of the Apocalypse, I must be justified!
I personally like to [sp]Kill Elijah myself, and repeatedly shoot the gun out of his hands so there's like 18 Gauss guns on the floor[/sp]
When I still played on the console, I managed to get all the gold bars outta there. using glitches and such. fuck you i want all that monneeeeeyyy
I'm using the 4GB NV like the FAQ recommends.
Have you already checked your load order? Last time I used BOSS (Or was it LOOT?) I had to manually set load order for TTW. You should also try setting 4gb loader to use Windows XP compatibility mode. I don't know if it fixes crash after intro, but you could try (FAQ says you should try it if you crash after clicking new game). And finally, try reinstalling it.
To be honest, the best thing out of dead money isn't the gold It's the BAR rifle, hot damn that thing destroys everything [sp]if you say the holo-rifle is better you are playing the game wrong.[/sp]
So for New vegas, is it better to use FOMM or Mod Organizer at the moment?
So for New vegas, is it better to use FOMM or Mod Organizer at the moment?
FOMM
I mean make a script to avoid the problems Overwatch mentioned. A script that when a 25mm grenade is loaded, makes the gun only fire one grenade instead of 7, but when loaded with shells, goes back to its original state and fires the pellets off regularly.
A script could work, but that's more complicated than what I suggested, altough a better solution. Now I just need to learn coding....
Hah, real men mod in machine guns which shoot 25 Alien Blaster bolts at once, each one doing 99999 damage with a 100% crit rate, with the Bloody Mess and Meltdown perks enabled. shiet that seems like a great weapon for testing eve
There was enough gold in the Sierra Madre to solve the NCR's inflation problems, why couldn't I just take all the gold and give it to the NCR?
There was enough gold in the Sierra Madre to solve the NCR's inflation problems, why couldn't I just take all the gold and give it to the NCR?
Because that's the profligate thing to do, you filthy degenerate.
Did all that.
Quick update, I think I may have gotten it working. As it turns out, I 100% correctly installed TTW. However, the problem was that in my excitement to play it, I didn't actually verify that vanilla New Vegas worked on my computer. :v: I have installed the 4GB patch like TTW had recommended, but I didn't install d3d9.dll... Oops. Let's see if it works now that I can actually start a new game in vanilla FNV.
Man, every time I come back to this game I'm reminded of how fuck-ugly every character is. Including the PC. Especially the PC. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/osNKPXj.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Truly, the hero the Mojave deserves.
If the next fallout is on Creation Engine the faces will look great. Ghouls will finally look pretty frightening and not like peeled potatoes.
