Does anyone else not like the look of the Ranger patrol armor? The design is chunky and top-heavy, and the almost sci-fi design clashes with the Rangers' Wild West aesthetic.

I think the issue is really how it was transplanted from concept art to ingame. Their concepts just look better as a whole.
The Anchorage Memorial would have been so much more suspenseful if the Mirelurk shells could be mistaken for rocks.
The ingame models really put that concept art to shame
Do you mean the ingame stuff is better?
I prefer the concept art. Note that the term "to put to shame" means that the alluded is better than the aforementioned. That stylized greebled comic style could have made for a pretty awesome art direction

Looks like rex got into my liquor cabinet again. Literally inside of it.
Rex get down from there you're drunk again aren't you.

they were originally going to look more western-y

the deal is that the regular cowboy outfit some of the other rangers wear was supposed to be the undersuit of the armor, so the cowboy motif would be stronger. but that's not really clear in the final game so it just looks like a weird sci-fi combat suit

woops
That feel when you target 2 people in front of you and the 2nd shots kills a 3rd enemy behind him.

I actually had that as a desktop background for a while. I think the wiki has high-res scans of the artbook or something.
That was always one of my favorite pieces in the art book. Shame that there's nothing like that in the game.
is there a mod that gets rid of ammo casings?
i've just started up new vegas again and i realized there is no purpose to your character having ammo casings at all. in hardcore it takes up weight as well, so it's even more useless.

they come in handy with mods that make ammo rare as fuck

You don't reload? I always reload at workbenches when I can. I run out of ammo sometimes due to the mods I play with.
can anyone link me to the player physics mod for new vegas? I can't find it on the nexus.
can anyone link me to the player physics mod for new vegas? I can't find it on the nexus.
It's hidden by the modder. Someone here has it and they reuped it before. Let's see if he comes back around.
So I just got through dead money
Man that collar was fucking annoying. Liked the map design though, a nice break from the norm, even if it ran like shit.

i loot like a motherfucker so i'm never shy on ammunition, it's just a hinder to have to go into my inventory every now and then and dump all the 9mm casings

Yeah, I know what you mean. If you like using Vance's SMG like me, you always need 9mm :v:
Are there any male hair/beard mods that isn't really really bad/animuu? I only found one hair mod and it's so bad, and I've only found about two beards.

I've never understood that. There are people capable of making something that actually makes sense for the game, but they just throw it all away and make a shitty anime mod with their skills.
Anyway, can I make hair and edit bodies if I learn Blender? I wanna do a few simple things like tattoos and body wear.

I'm no Gamebryo/Creation modder, but usually, tattoos are materials, not models.
Unless Bethesda did it in a really dumb ridiculous way.
Hair, though, you should be able to do.

Here's hoping they do more for Fallout 4.
Giant creatures aren't out of the equation. Mammoths were in Skyrim so the engine can clearly support it.
I've posted the first part of a new Machinima with Fallout 3, I had posted images a few pages back.

honestly he looked a lot smaller in broken steel than the ending of fo3
I always wanted to make my own dlc for fallout 3. Where the Lone Wanderer and the Brotherhood of Steel finally fix up Liberty Prime. And then proceed to march on the capitol building. This would lead to lone wander exploring another side of DC and the brother hood expanding territory. But alas thats a lot of work and frankly I prefer modding new vegas. Like this redesign of my house.

liberty prime was such a scripted mess, though. i don't think he counts as a "giant npc" the same way a dragon in skyrim does.
