liberty prime was such a scripted mess, though. i don't think he counts as a "giant npc" the same way a dragon in skyrim does.
What about the five Super Mutant Behemoths then?
What about the five Super Mutant Behemoths then?
actually yeah, you're right about those dudes.
is there a mod that gets rid of ammo casings? i've just started up new vegas again and i realized there is no purpose to your character having ammo casings at all. in hardcore it takes up weight as well, so it's even more useless.
Casings are weightless though, so they're nothing but useful.
Casings are used to craft ammo though, they are completely useful.
i don't craft, i just scavenge. clearly if i lived in the fallout universe i'd be a prospector.
Here's hoping they do more for Fallout 4. Giant creatures aren't out of the equation. Mammoths were in Skyrim so the engine can clearly support it.
I feel like a fallout 2 style sentry bot could be awesome, those looked to be about twice the size of the player character, biut bigger than a super mutant. It's strange that Bethesda kept to the designs of mr handy and robobrains but they redesigned the sentry bot to something arguably inferior [t]http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/fallout.gamepedia.com/5/57/Fo2_sentry_bot.png?version=aa93aeded449c4e78dfe81a93d6ef71d[/t] "please put down your weapon, you have 20 seconds to comply"
Are there any mods like DLC Weapons and Armors in the Mojave for the Pre-Order Packs? I'd love to see the lightweight leather armour on some raiders and mercenaries.
I was wondering, does anyone knows what happens if you play TTW on a save made in normal New Vegas? Can you go to DC? Does your game explode? Also, can TTW be installed as a Mod Organizer mod?
Are there any mods like DLC Weapons and Armors in the Mojave for the Pre-Order Packs? There's some other armours but I forget what they are.
It's hidden by the modder. Someone here has it and they reuped it before. Let's see if he comes back around.
a mod like this? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44164/?
So after however many playthroughs, I finally found the hidden armory in the adams mobile base crawler. I tried to take a screenshot but my game crashed. Man, I hope I had a recent save, no way I'm gonna be able to find that place a second time.

It does this thing where they are all in super shit condition when you come across the items, but it does add them out and about. And puts the canteen from one of em in Goodsprings Source somewhere. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39776/? There it is.
JE Sawyers mod does that, but I dont want it in little caches, I want it to be used by NPCs and sold by vendors and stuff
They are on NPCs, I've found most the weapons and armors on raiders and such, only the canteen was handplaced.
Just finished with my freeside home. All thats left is the scripting. I made this house in GECK over course of 2-3 days off and on work. For anyone who wants to use it I have it available for download here.
too much liquor and food imo
too much liquor and food imo
That's my loot. The house default has what you see on the two first floor shelves and whatever is in the liquor cabinet and fridge(random fo:nv spawn). I'm working on a personal assistant robot who will operate like megatons but will also auto store and sort all your loot. It may be overpower to do the store and sort but I think it would be a nice touch.
the new sentry is slightly less intimidating
Have to disagree there. The sound of the new sentry bot's wheels and the way its arms move to aim at you is terrifying. That just looks like some giant Buzz Lightyear mech toy.
Any biped (or tri in this case) design that rolls around instantly seems un-intimidating IMO, it's a lot scarier to have an 8 foot tall sentry bot stomping and lurching around metal hallways to chase after you The whole fallout 3 design really stank of just being a wheeli mobile bullet sponge, it's particular appearance is good, but having something lurching down a hallway always seems scarier than rolling. The height can also be used to intimidating effect, things on wheels are always low to the ground. I'm not saying the exact aesthetic design of the fallout 2 one is better, the exact appearance does look cheesy, but something bipedal, tall and walking on two legs is always scarier, especially for a robot that's supposed to be guarding pre-war armories and military research bases. Breaking into the sierra army depot* wouldn't have been half as terrifying if you had wheelie droids rolling around instead of 8 foot tall robotic sentries.

The only thing that would change would be the story, where [sp]you travel to DC to find your(the courier's) lost father.[/sp] [sp]Not really, I made that up[/sp] Seriously, it skips Vault 101 intro, going to Megaton and GNR. You can head straight to [sp]Rivet City and talk to Dr. Li.[/sp]
Huh, that was suspiciously easy. Looks like Fallout new vegas animations (extracted from NV assets w/ fallout archive) and the commando and the professional aniamtion packs for NV seem to port over to fallout 3 seamlessly. Great news really because Fallout 3's animations are really lacking, NV isn't that great either by any stretch but my god is it an improvement, almost eliminates the need for TTW entirely once you get a few gameplay tweak mods.
Both games use the same animations for the most part so I don't know why it wouldn't work.

Sentry bots are designed to be autonomous security after a base is abandoned, so they should be ready for contingencies. First off, I think they should have hands. At first it seems cool to have guns for hands but if the gun breaks then what? What happens when they run out of ammunition? They don't have hands to maintain a weapon and they can't get a new one because they have no hands. This doesn't apply to just weapons. Handless robots are forbidden from using almost any tool available for humans, and on the flipside special tools need to be made for robot mounting. Second, I think they should have legs. What happens when the elevator's out and the wheeled warrior needs to climb a staircase? When your base is on a cliffside and your rolly robot needs to navigate a pile of boulders? How is it supposed to kick ass with no legs? Third, they should have an option to deactivate in absence of orders. Croatia has spent half a billion euros and millions of man-hours removing mines from its country, and it still won't be rid of them until 2019. Now imagine instead of landmines you had immortal juggernauts who roam the countryside and shoot people on sight and instead of an organized demining program you had nothing. In the event of a nuclear holocaust, sentry bots are ultimately worse for public safety.

If they wanted them to defend an abandoned base, they wanted them to defend it for maybe 50 years tops. Considering the lethality of only a few shots from them on an average human being, it's unlikely they'd need that much ammunition or maintenance. Second point: Their name says it all: Sentry bots. Their job is to stick to one place and guard it, they're only able to move to get a better shot and pursue intruders until they leave the premises/die horribly. Third: The fifties were not a time known for thinking ahead, and this trend clearly continues to 2077 (why the hell are you guys going after that little bit of oil you're gonna use it all up just to win it you have an apparently limitless quantity of mini nuclear reactors that leave little pollution powering your damn butlers for godsakes). All over the wastelands there's remnants of poorly thought out plans like this, like the vaults and FEV and the New Plague and robots that run on stupidly long-lasting nuclear reactors and intelligent AIs that never need to shutdown...
man i wish new vegas would work properly if i run the game through the normal launcher it freezes on starting the game if i run it through the 4gb ram patch, it never crashes but it doesn't detect any screenshots i take.

I remember a few incidents where the in-game overlay worked perfectly but my friends list and chat windows still had me with a blue name.
