so ive gotten to the point where im pretty happy with daytime. that light blue streak across the middle of the sky im not sure what causes it (i think its caused by how the game engine or whatever mixes the color gradients that make up the sky) but the only way to get rid of it is to hide it by making the horizon very very light, almost white like in the original game, but i dont like that and the light blue part is a fairly minor thing and not that noticiable when yer running around the game and whatnot so im not too torn up about it. besides, once im done, i'm going to give making an enb preset a go again and that should completely negate that anyway. there also shouldnt be any more blow out yellow bloomy skin anywhere anymore.

That looks x10 better than the other weather mods on the nexus.
god fuck shit
dead money is eerie as fuck
Gives me that bioshock(1) vibe.
[sp]Vera holograms are fucking CREEPY.[/sp]
sinclair? SINCLAIR!
I loved Dead Money for the atmosphere the most out of all the DLC.
Really felt like a hostile and creepy place, you know what I sometimes wish Fallout was like(expect in maybe Dunwich?).
I tried Dead Money but I was a low level and it was a pain in the ass. I started the one where you go to Utah (I think?) but lost my save.
Seeing that picture with the green HuD. What is everybody's preference in the color? I prefer the white HuD for some reason.
Pure white HUD, and my Pip Boy color changes with my mood (sometimes it's cyan, sometimes it's red, etc).
Did you invalidate your archive?
I didn't like Project Brazil. Sure, the amount of work they put into it was cool, but the characters were awful, it broke all the time, and was way too short.

Blue for 3, orange or white for NV.
I have no idea how to do that.
Get archive invalidation invalidated (I think that's what it's called) off the nexus or if you use FOMM there should be an option somewhere on that.
Seeing that picture with the green HuD. What is everybody's preference in the color? I prefer the white HuD for some reason.
It varies with my mood.
Yo, put on some clothes homie
i took them off to show there wasnt any yellow blown out skin
The normal yellow skin is so fucking gross, it makes them look like the Simpsons
I can't wait for that to be finished.

For those who can't stand the sight of kawaii vault dwellers.

blue pipboy, white hud. i cant play any other way
Idk about you guys but I never ever used NPC repair services because of how fucking expensive they were. In New Vegas it can cost more than what the weapon is even worth.
If the repair was only like 60 between 300 caps i would occasionally use it but if its over 1000 caps its pointless
Blue for HUD and Pipboy.
so yeah, just thot id share [sp]vent[/sp] how the sky is made up and thot some of u might be interested. this is the same for all of bethesdas games, from morrowind to skyrim. basically the sky is a giant gradient made up of three colors that are mixed together to get what you see in game. this gradient is divided into three parts called: sky_upper, sky_lower, and horizon. the colors for each can be set individually and for different periods of time: sunrise, day, noon, sunset, night, and midnight. and this is for each type of weather in game (theres a lot). the most important part of getting a decent looking sky is the three colors that make up the gradient. for the most part the transition between the various times works pretty well, but its finding a combination of colors that blend together nicely that's the hard part. this is because each 'section' of the gradient is mixed unevenly. this in turn causes a whole bunch of intermediary colors that can have a negative effect on the look of the gradient that are difficult to account for.
take for example the image blow. i have set sky_upper to a solid red while reducing the green and blue amounts to 0. sky_lower is set to a solid green with the red and blue amounts set to 0. and horizon is set to a solid blue with the red and green amounts set to 0. this gives you an idea just how each of the three sections are blended together (i used a high fov to be able to see the whole sky at once)
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/golgLAX.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
as you can see there really isnt a solid green. theres an orange and a yellow, and then theres just a little bit of green, but its got a yellow tint to it, and then it starts to transition to teal and turquoise and then to a light blue and then way down at the very bottom just beyond the horizon you can see it finally start to turn to a deeper blue. the red at the top (ignoring the sun) is really the only bit where the color isnt mixed into half a dozen other colors.
in this next image sky_upper and sky_lower are both set to a solid red (with green and blue amounts set to 0), while horizon is set to a solid blue with the red and green amounts set to 0. with this set up there's no blue at all. there's a bit of purple and just a small band of pink between the purple and red.
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/QUcEgtE.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
in this last image horizon and sky_lower are both set to blue with green and red completely absent from their settings, while sky_upper is solidly red with blue and green absent from its settings. this for the most part creates a fairly solid '3 tier' gradient, altho the mixing between the blue and red is pretty damn abrupt and there's a faint band of light, almost plum purple. above that tho, it transitions fairly nicely into the red. so the key here is finding just the right shades of blue that will blend together nicely to produce a nice, solid gradient. and also, i dont have a picture of it, but setting all the parts (sky_upper/lower, and horizon) to one color, still produces intermediary bands of mixed colors. somehow.

tldr: bethesda needs to cut it out with this 2001 bullshit and get a modern fucking engine.
I just realized, in FO3/NV chocolate doesn't exist.
At least, I don't think I've seen any mentions/items related to it.

I'm willing to wage that that's because it's pretty much impossible to grow I'm the US, and was placed at a pretty low priority as an import due to the skyrocketing fuel costs pre-war. Any remaining trees would have gone extinct during the nuclear winter to boot.
Chocolate is a thing of the past in this cruel, dystopian world.
Why it it that the women in New Vegas look fine for the most part, relatively speaking, and it's only the men that look like potatoes?
sinclair? SINCLAIR!
That part was such an emotional critical for me.
Walking through a long-abandoned hotel with no one but kill-on-sight holograms for company, and the only thing I can hear is Vera's begs of forgiveness. That was probably the best part, atleast story-wise, of Dead Money.

everything on a woman in NV looks good but the chest.
That shits flat.

i used to put sugar bombs on the people i killed
i guess you can say
im a cereal killer
Does anyone like to think that the packaged foods are loaded with some vastly superior space-age preservative, which is why you can still eat them after two centuries?
Also, I'm having some chill adventures with Boone and No-Bark Noonan. He is literally slaughtering legionaries with that stickin' knife.
[editline]8th July 2013[/editline]
I just tried to throw a spear at a bighorner, but it hit No-Bark instead. But then, No-Bark just seemingly ripped the spear from his wound and proceeded to kill a bighorner with it.
That's the sort of badassery you wouldn't expect from a deranged old fart.

Well the man has nothing to lose other than the infinite amount of caps he keeps on himself.
I actually gave No-Bark a knife named "Ol' Sticky" and turned him into a quite dangerous melee fighter in GECK.

Actually foods were apparently zapped with radiation to preserve the shit out of them if I remember correctly. It's mentioned somewhere in the game.

Nexus fixed that problem ages ago.

Look at No-Bark, all ready to stick his stickin' knife into anything that may be a communist zombie.

Wow that's some shitty picture quality
