It's ok, it took me like 200 hours of playing to realize that the spinning wheel in the loading screen was a roulette wheel.
Grated khans sell em.
Grated Khans sounds horrifying. But something a Cannibal character might enjoy.

Finally finalised my final build for The Lady in Fallout New Vegas. Finally.
So....mods related to reloading for New Vegas?
The rock-it launcher is a cool toy with an interesting gimmick but I really don't see myself using it as a proper weapon... it's not nearly as fun or straightforward as, say, HL2's gravitygun.
Also, does FO3 instantly give you health from most items, as opposed to the "x health per second" most items in New Vegas have, or is that just my difficulty setting?
I remember it does pretty great damage, with the biggest downside of ammo being really heavy.

It's also kind of hard to aim.
Oh man...I regret starting Dead Money....this pseudo survival horror atmosphere and ULTRA hard gameplay is really putting me off.

I made a cheat sheet for all the upgrade and gear holotapes so I can just enjoy the story. Honestly, I really loved that DLC.

It goes directly from ultra hard to a bit harder than usual once you find a few stashes (look for handprints painted on walls), after a while of exploring I had like 2 100% Caravan Shotguns and ~100 shells for 'em. Also, get a Police Pistol and load it up with JHP ammo, a sneak headshot from this baby deals with every Ghost Person quickly and messily.
So, I walk into Nipton, without saving, shoot at a random crow, and

aim for the head, keep a melee weapon handy incase you run out of ammo, dismember the ghost people.
it's really not that hard after the first time

What did you do?
So I've been playing NV after buying it from the steam sale and it worked fine and dandy for 12 hours. I saved and went to work, and went I got back I booted it back up and loaded my last save and it just showed the loading screen with the spinning casino thing and the changing background for 10 minutes. I gave up waiting and retried a couple times and finally it worked, then when I switched areas, it did it again.
If anyone could help me out thatd be great, I'm really starting to enjoy this game but its become unplayable. I googled my problem but I couldnt find anyone with quite the same problem as me so it wasnt much help.

I might have had that same problem. Try reloading the save before that save and then loading the newest save while you're in that game.

LET'S HOPE YOU ROTATE YOUR SAVES.

Or he could start up a new game and load his save from there. I think that works too.

Being at level 22 and having maxed guns, ghost people aren't a problem. The problem is the huge maze this DLC is and the sierra madre vault section is just a nightmare. The explosive collar mechanic is just awful.
Yes, the story is superb and intriguing, but the gameplay....oh man!

Such is the fate of all those who dare cross the mighty Caesar.
Ah, I finally understand what made Dead Money feel so...odd.
I think it's because I found it to be very un-Fallout. The place constantly reminded me of BioShock, not of a post apocalyptic wasteland. That also happened with Old World Blues...yet with Lonesome Road and Honest Hearts it didn't.

Old World Blues was honestly my second-favorite of the DLC's.
I just find the lore and the whole setting of it to be really interesting.
I still feel like it retains the Fallout setting, though.
After a conversation with a friend, i want FP's answer to this question.
Which was better, Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas?

I just loved the challenge, and I naturally played on HC. The atmosphere was also amazing in that place, and ghost people are probably the coolest enemies ever. They're also properly challenging without just having massive health, speed and damage.
