I have several small problems in FO: NV which can be seen in the following screenshots:

Activate archive invalidation. Check through your FOMM tabs and windows, you'll find it.
Bought the Ultimate edition for this on sale and played Lonesome road, I didn't like the original game anyway because it felt so ridiculous and the story was written by a child. Not sure why I thought the DLC would be different but after a few hours of lonesome road I'm bored, it plays like an extended Skyrim cave with occasional dialogue.
Are any of the other DLCs actually worth playing or is it just more of the same?
I'd say all the DLCs have a different flavor. I haven't played lonesome road yet, but Dead Money is spooky and sets a nice tone, Honest Hearts is similar but different to the Mojave, and Old World Blues is a very campy sci-fi expansion. I'm not sure what you didn't like about the story, but if you think it's over the top, then I don't think you'll like any, except for possibly Honest Hearts.
I'm not exactly a fan of how the DLC gives me lots of nice stuff right at the beginning. Will it upset the balance in any significant way?

It doesn't affect balance in any serious way, just makes the early game flow a bit quicker. The items also don't really stay good past mid-game, either.
Hell, if you play the game a lot, all it really does is mean that you spend less time faffing about getting items from the shop and can waste less time at the beginning which is, without argument, the most linear part of the game.
That actually sounds very nice. I think I'll keep them.
Blackjack is so easy in Fallout new vegas.
Or maybe my 9 luck has something to do with that.
Only lost 400 caps whilst making the 5000 caps limit..

Having a high luck (like 9) means you win pretty much every hand.
It's actually incredibly broken, having a 10 luck build is not only viable but also makes you a lot of money.
Luck is like an additional difficulty slider.
I feel as if I'm the only person that doesn't play any gambling games like Blackjack in New Vegas

You should, they're fun! (also a great way to completely wreck the game's economy, but it's not like that's a difficult thing to do anyway)
I only play blackjack because I don't know how to play any other games.
~Caravan ery day~
I could never understand caravan. I even know people who started playing caravan IRL. Blackjack is the only card game I can play.
It's funny to spawn a legendary deathclaw on the strip (using the console of course). In Gomorrah some people just keep playing blackjack while 20 meters away a monster is killing all guests. There were so many bodies (I'm using populated casino's so the casino's are packed) the Gamebryo engine was already cleaning up dead bodies while the massacre went on.
It's also funny to see how bad the engine is. The engine can't handle 10+ NPCs on the screen, at least not on consoles. That means a single legendary Deathclaw is able to wipe out the NCR completely. Spawning a legendary deathclaw inside any NCR or legion camp means the camp is completely destroyed after a few minutes.
I remember reading about a mod or some big mod's functionality that let you make GRA->non-GRA and vise versa. Is there a mod for that?

Indeed. I always build my characters around 9-10 luck for that very reason. Blackjack tables are money printers. I've also got a mod that boosts the casino limits by about 10 times or so. Gomorrah bans at 50K, Tops at 75K and Ultra-Luxe at 150K, with max bets being boosted accordingly.
With that mod and 10 luck this happens.

Slots are easy. Get 10 luck, stab in the max bet, hit W a few times. Roulette is the tricky one, even with 10 luck I lose everything I put on the table there.

Puce Moose's GRA mod. It puts a machine in Old Lady Gibson's garage that you can use, alongside the weapon, a fistful of dosh and a Weapon Mod Blank, to change it back and forth.

Caravan is actually pretty fun once you learn how to play it, though the rules (especially ones regarding cards like the Queen) are a bit convoluted.
So I was exploring the wastelands when I found a room to a teleporter place.
Apparently it is part of AWOP, so I went through that teleporter ended up in a teleporter room.
Then I went into another one and I was kindly greeted by a deathclaw whilst I was level 10.
Needless to say, I got my face slashed off.
AWOP in a nutshell
Nevermind I got to Mojave through Union station,

Is it strange that part of my love for the Fallout series is the abundance of cola in glass bottles?
Not particularly. I actually prefer drinking cola out of bottles when I have the option and because of that I've got a small collection of bottle caps stashed away somewhere in a drawer. If I ever do some Fallout cosplay at one of those cons I might bring them with me so I can piss off the people at booths by trying to pay for merch with caps.

It'd be hilarious if they accepted them anyway

Glass bottles are the best thing to drink cola from. Plastic bottles are just shitty.

I wouldn't say shitty, more like that they're 'cheap'.

I dunno, but BPA is in the soda you drink which dilutes the taste.
so i hadn't had any interest in the fallout games until recently, so i started playing new vegas
this is pretty damn good

More that plastic seems less 'precious' than glass. Less disposable, despite the fact plastic is notoriously hard to get rid of cleanly.
Has anyone ever complied a rough map that showcases the territory held by the factions in Fallout? I checked around a little and found these two but they don't seem all that good. I would check around more but after finding one map that linked to some dodgy japanese site that made my anti-virus software start screaming I kind of lost the desire to keep looking.

I'd imagine maybe if it was something relatively cheap and they got the humor of it they might let me get away with it.
