More than half of the Nexus's mods in nutshell.
Perfect for when you have that mission deep in Lego land.
Reminds me of all those shitty Sonic OCs at Deviantart.
"ORIGINAL THE GUN, DO NOT STEAL"
Oh hell yes, Millenia is making a G3.

I usually hate all the 'modern' weapons most of the nexus makes, but when millenia makes it I can't help but mash the download button.

That's cause he textures his guns just right so that they fit in with the game's visuals.

He uses silly things like "effort" and "visual design".
Personally I find the guns are in too good condition; maybe if the Gun Runners made them though it would make sense.
I wonder, are there any mods out there for New Vegas that make having a character with 1 INT worth it?

better than being showered in rust
My guy doesn't fit the original style at all, I just pretend he is the richest most badass prick in the wasteland who used his magical powers of money and muscles to create custom armour and weapons
Basically I like dressing up as batman and power blasting people away with tesla katanas
I wish someone made a Batsuit based off of Gotham City Impostors instead of the unfitting Bale Batsuit.
"You're reputation with Caesar's Legion has become Accepted"
I swear I almost vomited.

The model is nice and all, but I see too much wrong with it to appreciate it in this game. Mainly the fact that it's the modern G3, instead of a version from the fifties or the sixties.
Also that it's proportions, level of detail and texture are way too realistic. Fallout's models are actually rather stylized, which not many seem to realise. The only thing trying to make it fit in is the almost token rust.

What? No they're not, all real guns in New Vegas look exactly like their real counterparts, there's no stylization to them.
The armors are pretty stylized imo

I don't have much of a problem with modern weapons being Fallout, because modern weapons are featured quite prominently in New Vegas. The only thing I dislike is the lack of originality among modders. You have the tools to make ANY weapon you want, and you keep making fucking generic modern weapons. As if we haven't seen enough of them in the 50 billion different modern shooters.
Still, for what it is worth, that G3 model and texture looks good and fits Fallout quite well.
And about the Armor, that is the part about the Nexus I despise the most. All the armor is modern tacticool bullshit or oddly misplaced cyberpunk/anime shit. Barely any of the Fallout mods actually resemble something from a Fallout game. There are almost no good armor mods out there, besides the Vault-Tec Power Armor, the T-57c Armor, and some power armor variants. That is a small selection compared to the vast supply of "Modern military" shit that clogs the Nexus like bad cholesterol clogs the arteries of fat people.

i kind of get the impression that NV's modern weapons are more like very similar substitutes, in that they're very close to the originals but still have a certain degree of difference from them. so like, the Assault Carbine might not be called what it would be in real life, or it might be made by different people than would have historically made it, or it might be constructed in different ways or any combination of those, but it's still very clearly the same gun that it is in real life. do you get what i mean?
My bet is it's surplus gear from long before the great war, kinda like mosin nagants and such today.
What? No they're not, all real guns in New Vegas look exactly like their real counterparts, there's no stylization to them.
Many do, but certainly not all of them: Automatic Rifle, AMR, .22 pistol and SMG, Service Rifle, more loosely LMG and 9mm SMG, all based on real world weapons with details, textures and colors streamlined and simplified. In addition to those, all weapons not based on real world ones have a distinctively crude but simple style to them.
Also G3 already has its stylized Fallout counterpart, it's called the R91 AR.

Well, Fallout 2 had a couple of real world guns and they stated that some real world gun designers existed in their universe (Gaston Glock. Fabrique Nationale) and the same goes for Tactics. The time-split seems to be somewhere in the 50's-60's with the issue being engine/power efficiency.
But the (my) problem related to New Vegas is that they seen to be....way too modern. Like, they don't fit. The textures for certain weapons are way off. Like the Marksman Carbine and the Assault Carbine (Which are, obvious colt commando copies). The Service Rifle is actually well done/put in because of it's wooden parts.
Oh, and the game lacks guns descriptions.
Has anyone else gotten this really weird bug at the end of Honest Hearts where there's meant to be a cutscene where Joshua Graham kills 2 guys, and then says something before you talk to Salts-in-Wounds, but instead Salts-in-Wounds just straight up attacks you? It's really annoying because it also turns Joshua Grahams and Daniel hostile for some reason and basically makes the entire quest impossible as they both kill you in 1 or 2 shots and are also really hard to escape from.
