Damn, Scribe Counter is useful.
The time-split seems to be somewhere in the 50's-60's with the issue being engine/power efficiency.
Circuit boards and transistors, actually. Only vaccum tubes, no chips.
About few weeks ago I downloaded Mission Mojave and it fucked up Project Nevada completely, even with all of the necessary compatibility patches. well screw that heap of shit
So should I not bother with MMUE? I'd like more than one opinion on this.
You have the tools to make ANY weapon you want, and you keep making fucking generic modern weapons.
Because most of the Nexus shudders at the sight of wood texture and anything that's not another fucking AK-47 or AR-15 variant. Or a mod that adds more skimpy anime bitches. Also, every person who uploads their "first mod lol" on the Nexus (unless it's really good) can go to hell TBH. Nobody wants a damn weapon mod where the guns are just vanilla guns with slightly different stats and names.
Personally I find the guns are in too good condition; maybe if the Gun Runners made them though it would make sense.
As people will soon see with our pack release (beta release), it is definitely safe to say that the Gun Runners make Millenia's weapons. Or rather... well, you'll see. In any case, if you really want to be canonical about Mill's weapons, the way we see it is that the Gun Runners make the guns but Doc is the original gun collector. He gets the original and they make copies from his collection.
I usually put a ton of wear in anyways, hard to make it look more worn without putting in silly amounts of rust (which would render the weapons inoperable)
I wish the Fallout series addressed the issue of race in America before the great war. Like, if the U.S. was still in the mindset of the 50's did Jim Crow laws and institutionalized racism ever end in that universe?
What? No they're not, all real guns in New Vegas look exactly like their real counterparts, there's no stylization to them.
Not really, they're just based off the general look of something to create generic counterparts - which is fine. The Service rifle is based off of the M16A1 and early AR15s, but it doesn't have an AR-15 pattern charging handle of any sort. It's just a generic representation of a "service rifle" that takes heavy design inspiration off real-world weapons while not being completely on model due to the nature of the universe. Further examples: The .45 Auto Pistol is obviously supposed to be based on the 1911, but there are differences, especially in proportions - it's stylized. Joshua's dialog makes it clear what it is, but it has been noticeably (though not heavily) stylized for the universe or artistic purposes. The .45 Auto SMG looks like a Thompson, sure, but there's massive inconsistencies were it to be the real gun. The triangular rear sights and the charging handle on the right side of the receiver would lead one to believe it's an M1A1, but the ribbed barrel and capacity to accept drum magazines are both unique to M1928 and earlier models. But that's all fine. It's not a "Thompson", it's a ".45 Auto Submachine gun." It's been stylized, just like everything else in Fallout.
It really seems like you're splitting hairs here.

Sure there's the classic fallout weapons pack, but those have a stupidly low res texture and have tons of "modern" weapons because of tactics which was weird gun wise imo.
It really seems like you're splitting hairs here.
It is an important distinction to make if one wishes to make custom weapons fit in.

Them not being entirely accurate doesn't make them stylized.

Nevermind the various vaults that had non-white inhabitants. (Vault 15 in particular, most likely.)
fallout isn't really so much based on the 50s irl but more so on 50s in popular culture. racism is invisible (as are all black people). edit: i mean fallout doesn't concern racism because it's not important to what they're drawing influence from.
How the heck did this mod get 36 endorsements? I'm supposed to save Boone's dead wife yet I apparently wind up doing a bunch of nonsensical quests while killing people that seemingly have unique weapons like Lucky and Alien Blaster. Let's give this mod a new name. It should be "A compilation of out-of-place quest mods that have barely anything to do with Carla Boone."
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/51087/ Released the G3/SG1. E:/ Lizzrd: I'm not really creative enough to make the FO1/2 weapons based on small sprites :/

I'm sure it was possible for there to be female soldiers.
With culture stagnating in 50s sensibilities? Not at all likely.
Well I imagine they'd see it like "We need every person we've got to fight those damn commies! They're already in Alaska!" Or hey, maybe the Feminist movement did exist within the Fallout Universe? I mean, it's not like Women's rights started after the 1950s, Women's Suffrage was granted in 1919.
Then it's not really culture stagnation.
Cultural stagnation doesn't mean all the sensibilities are frozen in time. The Red Scare never went away, they were pretty racist toward asians, large corperations were allowed to do basically whatever they wanted with no real regulation.
If you go to the Maltese Falcon in Fallout 2, you can listen to Black Vault Dweller speak about racism in his universe.
E:/ Lizzrd: I'm not really creative enough to make the FO1/2 weapons based on small sprites :/
Ah, shame. What if you had side view vector images of the FO2 exclusive guns?

Perhaps he was getting lonely in his simulation... No offense, but we are practically swimming in modern or sub-modern weapons right now, even if the texture work isn't as good as yours. Just try to see what you come up with and fi it is shit, well, at least you tried.
I'd love to see a 10mm pistol that also utilizes the cylinder.
