There is a way to get all the gold bars out of there.
I don't use the casinos because you can get locked out of the games if you win too much and I don't sell the gold because I shouldn't really have it (but I take it anyway for completionist sake).
Honestly, you don't even need all of the gold. Each bar goes for around 8,000 caps, which is more than most vendors even have.
Anyone else think enemies in OWB are way too tough? I'm level 31 and it takes an entire armoury to kill a single roboscorpion. It also doesn't really help that they're coming out of the fucking woodworks either.

I had the same problem, pretty much had to bullshit my way through the whole DLC. I'd spring my way from one location to the next newest one on my way to an objective, save, fast travel back to the sink, then go back and move to the next just because it was sometimes the only way to stay alive and get there.
What's the suggested load order for TTW?
Okay, so how do I finish Mothership Zeta? I just activated the teleporter to get to the bridge (or something like that), and I got the quest "This Galaxy Ain't Big Enough". Now I have to go confront the captain or something. Except I can't go anywhere because I can't reach wherever my waypoint is telling me to go, and the stupid kid and that lady whose name I can't remember keep running into an inaccessible door.
What the hell do I do?

Sadly, you have to start back from another save and go back to the point where you get the quest over... and over... and over... until the girl decides to crawl into a nearby vent to unlock the door (I think it was, it's been a while). I'm not sure, but I think you could also clip into the next room using console commands, but I'm not sure if that actually worked without breaking the rest of the quest or what.
It's a really awful terrible glitch that seems to happen a lot.

I just circle around them wacking them with that entenner thingy or the proton axe.
Yeah but the gunplay is the same way, and energy weapons never get more exciting than the occasional pile of goo.
It may not be very cool, but I still think melee weapons have the best pay off. They always seem to cause more head explosions than guns do.
Well for guns you can get EVE.
I'm really wondering if there is a melee equivalent, though probably not.

I couldn't sell a single one. I'm just a completionist like that. Just like how I need to collect one of each common weapon and armour, and (almost) all uniques.
With Project Nevada + Powered Power Armor, maintaining power armor is challenging but it lets you tank through everything like real power armor should. It has a lot of cool quirks and its really polished so it integrates seamlessly itno the game.
PPA hasn't updated in forever though, and has gotten glitchy. I dunno if it's just me, but as completely awesome as it was it ended up just not being worth it.

On my first playthrough I managed to smuggle out 3 bars by taking only necessary equipment with me, dropping most other stuff. I sold 2 and kept the last as a keepsake. I really don't see how being a completionist can alter your perceptions on the items which were put in for the sake of selling. So long as you have at one point had them in your inventory in the Mojave and gotten them out of the Sierra Madre, then you've succeeded the task. What happens to them afterwards doesn't change the fact that you've completed the goal of acquiring them.

And while keeping unique weapons and armor without selling them makes sense, the gold bars themselves are not, strictly speaking, "unique." There are a number of them. Keeping one would be the same as keeping them all.
I have to agree. I've managed to get three out my first time through, - well, I still have the last fight left, but y'know - and I'm going to keep one of them for myself. The other two are going to fuel my addiction to having too much money.
I just use the gold bars as decorations. I had a screenshot of a pyramid of the gold bars but you have to use a mod to move them.
I got them all out by dropping them and shooting them past the shield that goes up with a shotgun.

I just picked them all up and walked out. I love stealthboys.

I. NEED. THEM. ALL.
Also, still can't think of a good first kill for my katana. The main faction leaders have GRA challenges tied to them.

Let go man, let go of your needs. The main theme of the story is to let go man.

I know, it's just difficult. Just like how I've never used a disintegrating/melting weapon because ash/goo piles don't clean up.
Tell that to all of the dead bodies in Freeside. I swear every time I go through Freeside I have hack another person.

They do clean up eventually.

Not when you kill 3 more every time you go in.

Reading this made me envision some sad old looking janitor coming out and cleaning up the mess players make of Freeside thugs/citizens. Like as soon as the player transitions into another area he scoots out of some hidey hole with a push broom and begins sweeping up all the dead and dismembered bodies so they don't clash with the usual Freeside squalor.
so i'm not a huge fan of new vegas, i prefer 3.
but that project nevada mod looks fucking amazing, i think i'll finally have a real reason to play nv now.
so when i said i was done with daytime i lied but i think ive found something im happy with. horizon will be tweaked a little bit, but just a little, and the dstant fog will also be tweaked a bit, but overall im p.happy with this.

Nobody else could fit the role any better.
Giving him the Slasher Mask was best choice of all time.

Don't go into that first cell of Freeside for a few days.

I'm not saying that the old bodies don't disappear, I'm saying that there's always going to be volunteers to add new corpses to the streets every time you go in, so even if the old bodies vanish new ones take their place.
