I probably should be close to it by now, but I'm using the Signature Weapons mod and losing like a good quarter of XP. Even so, I waited to level 20 to do any DLCs and am only near the end of Honest Hearts, and I'm already almost level 30. [editline]30th July 2013[/editline] I seriously don't remember XP being this easy to get when I played before.
Gotta love Project Nevada and its many fixes.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/XqMAADz.png[/t] Anything look incompatible there? Having occasional crashes.
Oh man, with the Interior Lighting Overhaul mod, tougher ghouls, and Boone's modified spotter perk, REPCONN has gone from the laughably easy ghoul potshoot to something out of a horror film. Since the ghouls are tougher to kill and do a ton of damage, I have to be real careful to not get detected. The targets represent a ghoul. You can see them moving about and I have to keep the gun aimed since that's the only way to bring it up. Gets really tense when you realize one is walking towards you. I had to keep the light off since that would lower my stealth stat-and if one detects me, they summon the horde. From there, I have to either get the fuck out of there quick or try and fight them off with an axe since that's the only thing I have that blocks them. And this is Boone and I freaking out when we bump into one.
With the way you said that and how dark the pictures are, it makes your New Vegas feel like a horror game!
Oh, how I envy you PC people,:/ I use to get by with the 360 version but now it's cracked :/
That's how I got my New Vegas from, realized it could be much better if I get the PC version, then so I did but faced what most regretted in exchange for mods. Crashes...
That's my biggest fear since I don't know how to computer
Crashes are going to come regardless of how many or how few mods you install. Fallout 3/New Vegas just occasionally glitch and crash. That's why you save frequently. As long as you pay attention to what mods do what, and make sure to check any specific compatibility lists in their descriptions, you should be relatively fine. Assuming you don't do what I do and mod the fuck out of your game on a computer that shouldn't even be playing it vanilla.

There is an easy fix but I cannot remember it.
With the way you said that and how dark the pictures are, it makes your New Vegas feel like a horror game!
Definitely, trying to take them out with an axe is like a scene from 28 Days Later. I had to be quick on the blocking since they swipe at such a fast speed. Then the game turned to Metal Gear Solid when I was trying to sneak past the Nightkin. All in all, this is the funnest playthrough of New Vegas I have ever done so far.
Thanks for informing me, I appreciate it
Yeah I bought FONV on 360 first (before I had my gaming PC) and then on PC two years later. Even as crash prone as it is it's still much more stable than glitchy as fuck unpatched 360 version, and the mods make everything much more worthwhile.
This is my first playthrough of New Vegas, and right now I'm at the point in the story where I have to choose whether or not to kill Mr. House and/or side with factions. I'm already hostile towards the Legion, but is it more worth it to side with the NCR, Mr. House, or go the "Wild Card" way?

It all ends with a credit roll, ending slide, and a trip back to the main menu any way you pick, so ultimately it's up to you.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/XqMAADz.png[/t] Anything look incompatible there? Having occasional crashes.
NVEC and TTW are not compatible with eachother.

I've got DM to do, then LR, then INDIE, NCR, and CL endings... After that i'm going to really splurge with mods and just make it a big goofy sandbox with shit like AWOP and fancy player homes.

Should I go with Revolvers or with Melee Weapons (most likely will be using a katana from GRA in that case)?
if the game ends when you finish the main storyline, when are you supposed to play the 4 DLC? like just before the main storyline ends? is there a mod that allows you to roam?

Let's you control up to 10 companions without having to walk up and talk to them. You can do all sorts of stuff like have them guard a certain spot (useful when putting Boone in a sniper position; saved me when we were still outside REPCONN), unlocking/hacking, attacking particular targets, etc. It's a great mod that the author put a lot of work into, I'd consider it essential. He even added support for some mod-added companions.
NVEC and TTW are not compatible with eachother.
Alright, I believe that's fixed. New problem though, it crashes every time I get to the birthday scene during the opening. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QdvwZnA.png[/t] Trimmed the list down anyway, any incompatibilities or is it just a faulty installation?
What the hell? I uninstalled New Vegas, deleted the folder and redownloaded the game and now all the mods I had are back. How does this happen? I just want a fresh install.

It's a long shot, but maybe the pip-boy 2500 might be messing around with the "overseer-giving-you-the-pip-boy" scene.

I guess I'll just re-install Two Wastelands. [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] Oh I forgot to mention I also have NMCs textures, it doesn't show on that list. But again, I've played through that scene without problem previously. Though, when I did it, I had FOOK installed, but I removed that because of missing textures leaving giant red arrows everywhere.
Goddamit dead money is hard
Goddamit dead money is hard
Worst thing about it is the insanely high skill checks needed for the golden ending. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] And card/holotape hunting in order to get everything.
but wouldnt the DLCs be run at the end of the main game so you should have "insanely high skill checks" anyway?
but wouldnt the DLCs be run at the end of the main game so you should have "insanely high skill checks" anyway?
No because not everybody waits until ten minutes before Hoover Dam to start the DLC.
when are you supposed to play the DLC?
when are you supposed to play the DLC?
Whenever, really.
