They are both for the upcoming Ice Themed update, that's coming with a "new" map (remake of Proving grounds for queue.) and Lizzandra the ice witch (new champ).
Just get them before the update and you'll get the skins.

I've accepted that I'm terrible and deserve to be where I am (Silver V) but I want to work myself out, and I can't do that when I've got like 40% confidence in my own ability and champ choice.

I go into the game thinking. I am way better than this person so im going to shit on them and make them rage. Being confident is good. Also never say you are terrible. Say you need to improve on things but are [b]FUCKING[/b] awesome and everyone else is terrible.

I think what he's saying is you should take a risk sometimes, because if you don't, you'll never know your limits as a player.

Create opportunities for kills/good teamfights, know where people are and junk, know when objectives are up, and especially know how much damage you can put out.
If you are just sitting back and farming depending on your team to make those opportunies you aren't gonna feel great about yourself.
Honestly the only champ I feel super comfortable with is Viktor, and 95% of the time someone calls mid immediately. And apparently calling a spot is a written law in Silver.

i have a theory about silver that will either lead me through it, or end up demoting me
instalock lane of choice, ignore everyone and talk to no one. part of me thinks it'll help.

it also helps to know when you can and cant win a fight. like if you actually go back and fight instead of taking free damage as you run away, trades can mean alot in laning phase imo
