For me it was the complete opposite, whenever I put the lantern down to shield my teammates, some teammate IMMEDIATELY clicks on it, no matter what, had a Draven ADC, he's in a great spot to get a double kill, I throw my lantern at him to shield him so that he can fight to his heart's content.
Nope, he immediately takes the lantern back to me even though he was 1v2 and he had like 100% health + my shield against two 30% health squishies.

You are asking them too much. You have to understand, it's already hard enough to press four buttons, and even harder with someone like draven, don't give them more complex tasks.

I started out 1/0/8, Blitz took every kill for the first 15 minutes, then I started snowballing hard.
100% raw damage builds are the most fun.
Should've added in a PD instead of boots.
Edit: Could've improved my damage even more since nobody really had any armor, oh well.
