on that note, i'm having trouble with my build order. usually i try to grab my roa first. on a good day, i can get it before 12-13 minutes. But sometimes I feel like it'd be smarter to grab cloth armor or the mres one. but if i do that, it puts off my build. is it worth sacrificing build time for something like roa (that needs as to be built asap)?
also i tend to debate rylai's v liandry's first. how do you guys decide?

I like to rush a Botrk then go brutalizer but only build it into a cleaver after I get a last whisper

Because BOTRK provides you at least 3x more damage than a BT.
Players who rush BT on Zed usually don't know how to play him well since they'll focus on getting more burst on Q and E, whereas Zed needs autohits in order to get sustained damage and his passive proc to maximize the damage on his ult.

I usually go QWQE and then max Q.
Depending on matchup, usually against melee, you can go E level 1 and go for a heavy trade early.

If you're fast/good enough with Zed's mechanics, you can easily go for a first blood at level 3.
Try hitting your Q as often as possible on the enemy. The moment he is <50%, you can pull off a 300 damage combo + ignite in half a second. This is done by casting W, immediately using it again and pressing Q during the process while autohitting the enemy.
Most the of the times, people won't see it coming and might even end up flashing out of reflex and die to your ignite.

i have a hard time trying to harass and keep my cs up, let alone not dying in the process
i harass with W>EQ combo until i can kill with ult

Any tips for playing as Caitlyn? I seem to do well early and late game but my mid is very poor. I usually have to stick around teammates as it gets hard to sustain myself when people have more health than me and my build isn't complete.

Those two might possibly relate to each other.
It's most of the times not a good idea to harass with your W, because it will drain you out of energy quickly and leave you vulnerable, [i]unless[/i] you jump in afterwards to trade further or scare him off.
It will also you get rid of your only escape, so it's a no-brainer to only use it when you're safe from ganks.

i noticed, i start 5 sodas and 4 eyeballs just to avoid getting ganked for a while
i dunno, if i'm able to teleport to him with W, if i max E first i'm able to double cast it.
to be honest i dont even pay attention to what skills i level, i just ctrl Q or E whichever i feel like lol

game i played for example, i was against gragas mid who went hella tanky, and bot lane fed hard; enemy draven bought a GA right after BT+PD. They had shen and alistar that would just peel for his ass whenever someone tried to do something.

Is support Anivia viable? She has a good stun and a wall so it doesn't seem like a bad idea on paper, but hey, Poppy looks very good on paper as well.

You could either try just simply putting the valuable target out of the fight if you're not able to kill him, or do what most others do, splitpush and just 1v1 the guy who is trying to stop you if he's alone.
Anyone still with suggestions for champions that require high skill/execution to play? (Zed, Oriana, Syndra(?))

The guy had so much peel on him, it was impossible. My team didn't seem to do much in teamfights other than run in and get melted. I know I'm not supposed to blame my teammates for a loss, but...
I also tried split pushing, they always had some butt buddy with them to come and stop me. Even if I distracted two people, my team failed on the other side of the map.
