Every stat on Tri-Force synergises with Ezreal though.
Sheen proc with more damage than IG
Mana + AP scales with W, E and R
Attack speed + crit
Movement speed
Health
And of course the phage slow
None of those stats are useless on an AD caster/autoattacker (especially ones with good AP ratios like Ezreal)
Every time I see an Ezreal with IG I rejoice (unless they're on my team) cos it means they have an ADC with no damage. He's already weak as hell late game damage-wise without building shit items on him.
Every time I've tried IG on him, it's either stopped me from snowballing as hard as I could have, or it just stops me from becoming relevant if I was behind.

i'd much prefer a guaranteed aoe slow rather than a 25% chance single target slow
and imo the 70 armor and 500 mana it gives is much better than all the other stats triforce has

People who do that build don't exactly plan on fulfilling the AD carry role.
Just because they don't, doesn't mean they are useless in general.

I personally don't like earlygame IG.
Sure the slow is nice but its A LOT of wasted gold, you should consider it a possible defensive item, rather then an actual part of your build.

I dunno, I play Ezreal as an AD carry. IG turns him into a slightly tanky soft-cc-bot. Triforce gives you more damage, and a chance for a similar slow to IG.
Imo, 500 mana is useless on Ezreal, and 70 armor is useless early game. The CDR isn't useless, but it's certainly not a required stat for Ezreal because his CD's are already great with his Q passive.
An early Sheen after BT gives you enough mana to last until late game, and Triforce is just too good to pass up, making a late IG useless.
I just don't see the point in IG. Protect yourself from bruisers? If you can't get away with E and phage, you're going to die anyway. Protect your team? Not your job. You need to do as much damage as you can as quick as you can, because you're going to be shit late-game.

Yes, but in the quantities that triforce has them in makes it quite useless.
30 AP will basically increase your damage by at most by ~30-50 when bursting someone, 100 or so in a teamfight, and since you aren't getting any mpen/other ap, it's useless compared to getting AD, which a single longsword can net you more than 200 damage easily through crit and just simply the fact that you autoattack a lot.
For AP to be useful, you need to have large amounts of it.
250hp may help a bit in the laning phase, but past that it's really not worth anything. you get caught out of position, you die anyways. it won't make any real difference.
the dps stats that it gives are meager at best, and then that leaves the 2 procs, which are nice, but does it make up for the wasted stats when you could've just bought a straight up dps item that's more efficient in every way in order to deal more damage?
Has sheen previously done an additional 100% of your total AD? I'm pretty sure it hasn't.
I sometimes run into people that use it and be like "wtf it doesn't do 100% of my total AD?"
Then I wonder if they have been buried underneath a rock.
