Then once in a blue moon the odd man out gets to pick. My bet is that its a 1/5 chance for everyone but as a party member your chance goes to the host. normal draft fyi.

I emailed Riot because I was short 20 rp for a Summoner Icon. They actually gave it to me!

It used to just get sorted by your normal elo, so 4/3 man premades always get it, 2 man premades will get first+last or secondlast+last depending on your Elo difference, They changed it to be random in Season 3 tho, so now everybody has a equal chance regardless of Elo, but if a premade gets it it will always go to the captain. Patch notes from somewhere around Pre-Season 3 [quote] Normal Draft Mode Normal draft has changed so that premade groups are not prioritized over solo players Solo players have a 20% chance of being the team captain with banning powers and first pick, regardless of the premade status of the rest of the team If a solo player is not team captain, the player will be given a random slot in the pick order If players group up before a game, their host absorbs all of their chances, i.e. the host of a 4-man premade has an 80% chance to be captain [/quote]
