Almost lost a game of my promo series bceause of this ~plat V~ ezreal who got butthurt after someone made a mistake or something and then went to farm other lanes, only firing ult into teamfights "i dont care about loss i cant get demote im plat v"
We won a couple teamfights 4v5 and eventually our sejuani (who apparently was the one who made ez butthurt) apologized and went all like "pls we cant win without you we need you to win this", he then started fighting and we did win
but holy shit it frustrates me that people can just do that in ranked. "im <division> V, i dont care because i cant get demoted"

Those people are wrong, kind of. You still go down elo, and it becomes very hard to promote later on. But yeah, you don't lose league position (which doesn't really matter in comparison to elo imo).

I'm pretty sure any sort of AoE that does damage will reveal Akali in her shroud, because it happens to me literally every time I play Akali

only lee's tempest, lulu's help pix (if she casted it on akali before stealthing), nid's and cait's traps, tf's and rengar's ult reveal her
remember that riot changed the shroud recently so you go out of stealth as soon as you start casting an ability, not when you deal damage
