Ok now that that is out of the way. His laser is pretty good, the fact that he can only build 4 lategame items+boots and is stuck with a mid game item in a slot really hurts him though.

No. He's very slow and has terrible ganks.

Warwick can jungle safely, he'll never lose too much health to be in danger. But he clears slow, ganks awfully before 6 and even after. He's rather good in 1v1 jungle fights though.
Might be a good idea to avoid ranked games for a while, there's a massive exploit with runes currently:
