Yes, it was good but not super OP. It fit into the game back then, many of the abilities were much, much stronger than they are now. But as the things are now, having a deny on such short cooldown could be overpowered, but the mechanic itself isn't bad. Riot could easily make it so that it can be used to kill a creep once every X seconds, so that you could deny a creep about once every 3 waves or something similar.
Enemy getting the EXP from 17 creeps + a cannon creep as opposed to 18 + cannon every 3 waves, it isn't enough to give him an instant edge over his opponent, but it could help boost him to his role (Supporty semicarry who shines earlier than other carries due to bonus gold and flat AD boosts) a slight bit faster.
E deny was retarded and should never be brought back. It gives you an huge advantage, and results in no counter play on the opponents part(which is an ideology that riot seems to follow to retarded extremes).
It's a throwback to when LoL was just another Dota clone, and mimicked Lich's sacrifice.

dota has a higher learning curve, a couple of new mechanics to figure out, but at the end of the day, they're both mobas and they're the same shit. I just like the overall feel of the game a lot more than league. the variation is awesome - items to turn your whole team invisible for a few seconds. its crazy. but getting anywhere good in both these games still takes some amount of dedication and skill.

Dota has more ROFLWTF skills/cc/items.
It's like LOL on crack. Alot of champs have niches that they are literally unstoppable in. LoL went the other way and I think tried to tone down the ridiculous 8 second CC and made it more "accessible".
The best RL analogy would be something like American Football to Rugby.
LoL is rugby, more free flowing and easier to get into at the first stage.
Dota is American Football, harder "rules" to grasp and less accessible to pick up and play.
Ultimately they share the same goal - destroy a nexus - but just give you different ways to do it.

Well in comparison, Dota mages are stronger early game and weaker late game than LoL mages, and Dota carries are weaker early on in comparison to LoL carries.
Many bruisers like Riven, Vi, Jax or Lee have a crapload of burst early on and they still manage to become good at lategame, and in Dota a Faceless Void is lucky to kill a support on his own when he gets his 4 second AoE stun. While the mages in LoL generally speaking have weak-ish spells early, they get more and more AP their spells get equally ridiculous in strength to some of the Dota spells.
I think this would be a good way to compare the two:
LoL has much stronger damaging abilities, Dota has much stronger CC abilities.

What league/division you are in doesnt matter, as long as you get better. Trust me, I was in bronze for ages, having ups and downs of luck. Recently I've just focused on getting better, and now I've gone to Silver, and I'm already up for promo again a day later. You'll get there, get a small champ pool of people you can carry with, Tryndamere, Jayce, Kha'Zix, Talon, Kassadin, Thresh, Draven, guys like those.

teemo is annoying as fuck but when you get the people in game that go "fuuuu xD" and then the players who go "why everyone hate teemo :P?" thats when you feel like killing yourself

I'm doing well in my games, legitimately, but I've lost the last 2 because either a mid or jungler got fed on the enemy team. It's just a matter of time, it'll take me a while but I aim to get Gold at some point.
I'm just annoyed I got seeded so low for 50% win rate with 2 games that dropped out due to servers on EUW last month. Just makes it a longer ladder to climb.
Last game aswell, sums up my feelings initially.... Lol matchmaking.avi I had 800+ regular wins, everyone else in the game had under 200 wins and our Yi went jungler and tried to dive between mid towers at 5 mins, mid fed gg. Really Riot? Please.
