I wish Riot made a lycan-like champion soon that wasn't Nid and was more AD focused. I really like shapeshifting champs, but Nid has a fucked up playstyle when it comes to that, as you're just throwing spears and being a pussy. She only shifts when you need to steal, ehrm, "secure" a kill.

Have you even played Nid before? To say her Cougar form is good for nothing but ksing is rather stupid

There really isn't much to do with her cougar form without getting killed almost instantly. Nid is a squishy champ, and most people I've seen ( including myself ) just build her AP with some mixed in CDR and whichever HP item seems beneficial at the time ( RoA or Rylai's ). The few times I saw a Nid go in as kitty they either got killed instantly or escaped by the skin of their teeth because of her spammy leap and the bonus MS.
It's good for killing minions or for trying to help out with Baron, but it doesn't seem to have much drive behind all of it's attack power. I play Nid quite often, it's just that CF doesn't seem as anything but as a escape tool or chasing device when your Spear is on CD.
Not saying that it's a bad champion or anything, it's just that I'd really like a champ that does shapeshifting some justice besides a spear throwing kitty who can leap alot.
Would be cool to have a shapeshifting champ that isn't just "range to poke melee to kill"

Sadly, yes, but with Lucian and Thresh's release I am getting my hopes kind of up for more original champs.
Thresh has a box and that weird E plus the lantern, while Lucian has his ult and that four way star thing. Quite creative things.

I once designed a shapeshifting wolf champion for fun, way before I started playing Dota.
When I started playing that and saw Lycan's skillset, I noticed that both guys had 3 spells in common, at the same time it was fucking funny and cool as fuck because whoever designed Lycan had very similar mindset as I did.

I don't really consider Lucian all that creative when the majority of his kit is just really straightforward and unoriginal. His ult is alright though.
Thresh is cool though, one of their more creative champs for a long time.

Cat form is the best way to kill enemies after hitting them with a spear. Chase them down easily, then pounce and swipe for an instant 800 damage. Press Q and there you have it, a kill.
