hecarim is kinda mana hungry and isn't really an autoattacker, so he benefits a lot more from CDR, mana and armor (not to mention the slow) than most stats TF gives, even with the new phage

I'm really tempted by Ahri but I'm a bit put off by characters with a spammable ult because I tend to be way too conservative of it when I shouldn't and start spamming it when I should keep it.

I really don't like playing this game at times. I'm almost always put into support because nobody else does it, and I'm shit at it for the most part. Even though I spend 2/3 my cash on wards, my team still asks me to buy them and put them everywhere. Even with my usually setup with Kage's Lucky Pick and Philo Stone, I still never have more than 100~ gold for any other items (such as CDR to be more useful in teamfights). I've started to get very aggravated too, which isn't fun for me, when people tell me to buy more wards and I tell them to buy them themselves. It's like everybody thinks a support is just a ward-slut and is never allowed to buy items for themselves. This last game I played with my friends, I got fed up with people asking me to buy wards for EVERY lane (top lane too, for some reason) and I straight up stopped buying them and tried to go full tank as Leona (we had Fiddle, Quinn, Ziggs, and Teemo so it was a squish fest), but since nobody gave up their money to ward for the team and I wanted to win so I started buying them. I managed to get Ninja Tabi, Randuin's, and a kindlegem before 30 minutes from not buying wards, but I didn't get any farther than that by 45 minutes because I was the only one to buy wards and actually use them (which was a strange concept for Fiddle seeing as he had 3 for the last 15 minutes of the game).
I'm really enjoying ARAM. Everyone seems so laid-back. There's no stupid pressure, no stupid metas, no one gets angry when you fuck up. It's quite wonderful.
Plus, there's no wards, so you should give it a try Supafly. :P
Try playing with different people. Or get a friend that likes to play support.

This game is for the largest part awful
This applies to every MOBA out there. I have yet to actively enjoy myself in this game besides in those good games where you get a bunch of kills, no deaths and still manage to win, or the reverse but you win anyways. Just now I started trying to encourage my friends to play, but the matchmaking system pairs me with such fucking retards that I find it overwhelming to do anything, even if I play a hard carry like Yi and go 1000/0/0.
I might just be stuck in the shitter because of my awful w/l ratio, but there really isn't a way to pull out of it when I already perform well but the enemy team does three times better than I do... by taking kills off of teammates, of course.

I'm allowed to post my opinions here, this is a megathread, and as a whole, we're allowed to pool our thoughts together to make us better players. If you see something wrong with my 'advice', like any other person with wrong advice, you jump on their throats with others. You're no better than the toxic players I play with in ranked, even if you're better than them in skill. You shouldn't see my thought as shitposting, because I genuinely thought this to be true. I used to love playing Ahri but I could never grasp her late game much without being nuked because of her squishiness. At least next time if I shit in your thread, explain why I should kill myself and uninstall league instead of making stabs at me.

But you just explained why you were wrong in your post....
Focus on better positioning as an ap carry, and realize that someone else should really make the intiation into teamfights. Stay out of enemy attention until the fight starts and theyre busy with your allies.
