once you learn how to jungle decently, move up to Nocturne
nocturne is honestly farther up in the difficulty scale
not that he's incredibly hard but if you don't hit your Q your gank is completely fucked, and he's pretty item dependent mid-late game

Because he's a great tank, and how much easier can a gank be? You literally make the enemy champ unable to do ANYTHING for nearly two seconds.
I don't get why I am being yelled at when I go 7/3, everyone on the team has a fine score except for the man yelling at me, and we won by a rather large margin

Ok he's pretty good. I understand his lore completely now. Basically, if you pick Aatrox, your team's morale skyrockets and wins their lanes while you just afk farm the jungle and countergank occasionally. Happened three games so far.

playing in my BR, unranked account. first game was against other, shitty unranked players. second game? same thing. third, fourth, fifth and even the sixth? same thing. seventh match after six wins? jumped straight from full unranked/bronze teams to full silver I/gold V team
as said before, normal match making just does whatever the fuck it wants
I've had games where the enemy has a few high golds and a diamond while I had a few low golds and high silvers
beating a dead horse at this rate

if someone who was truly at that skill level did the same thing as me and won 7 games, by being lucky or just working hard enough to beat those teams, they'd jump from fighting teams slightly below their skill level to teams miles above in a single match
thats just fucking evil, especially since it was the first 10 matches
that doesn't tell your skill level, that sets you up for a pubstomp (assuming you're actually not really that great at the game considering the other 6 teams were just unrankeds)

placement matches is like 60% luck (30% of stats are made up on the spot) unless you're a Diamond/Platinum player.
Wouldn't the BR server population also mess up match making? Ive noticed that games only get stacked or hilariously out of whack whenever I play normal draft which is a lot less popular than blind pick.

Perhaps, yeah. It's still weird though, because 6 matches is a lot, and for it to change that drastically only after that many games, eh.
Also, just played another one after that loss. Christ, my team had a bronze III, 3 silvers and 1 unranked (me), while they had a gold IV, a gold V and a gold I (rest were silvers)
I swear there's some evil genius that found out I'm a smurf and is hand-picking all these teams for me

I have yet to actively enjoy myself in this game besides in those good games where you get a bunch of kills, no deaths and still manage to win, or the reverse but you win anyways. I was playing in a 5-man premade a while ago in which I was the only ranked player (i'm gold 5), and the enemy 5-man premade contained a challenger player

I think any other expensive AP item would be a better choice than lich bane. I'm partial to WOTA, but something like dfg (for straight up damage) or rylai's (for the health and slow on command: attack) could also work. I just don't see why you would ever want to be in range to use LB as orianna. You aren't particularly tanky, so wading into a teamfight to throw some autoattacks is certain death.
(and if this is bad advice, please tell me, I'd really like to get better at league)

when i was lingering around gold 4-3 i played placement matches on two different accounts and went 9-1 and 10-0 respectively
basically play pubstompers and you will prosper
