Well there's rewards for every tier, and I already have 2 won games in ( 1 lost ) so hooaah! Morale is key to victory, and even if it ends up being drained within my first 3 games, I will still achieve Bronze 1 and attain a cup.
I'm not afraid of cups.
First ranked game of the season, everyone is really fucking nice, our team shares "GJ"s after ever successful gank/fight and even one of the enemy guys said that he looked me up on LOLking and said that I have a good record or something. That game set the mood perfectly.

I laned against Lucian for the first time as Graves today, and is it me, or does he hit like a toddler?
the only thing that really seemed like it had damage potential was his ult, and I could just dodge that
i think lucian is more about sustained damage and kiting than anything

Would be cool if he was built more around attack speed rather than attack damage, his ultimate has really fun potential with max attack speed but it isn't as strong as AD, which is kinda boring. Quite many ranged carries are already built around flat damage in comparison to attack speed.

his Q is great when I play him, if you follow up with a passive proc it's easy to bully people out of lane.
i mean yeah but most of the time i see them having to do that like twice to get them to even use an hp pot, 3-4 times to actually zone them and more than that to get them low
but i think that's the point, he seems to be based more around sustained damage like i said, with a lot of poke potential in lane
really just gotta make use of his passive

If I just keep playing champs that carry like Yi or keep getting other people to play similar champs ( Fizz ) maybe, just maybe I will reach a decent elo
My first experience fighting against Lucian bot lane was his Q actually doing like 1/4 of my health for some reason.
I also finally started yoloqueue ranked (though I'm cheating and duo'ing with a friend) and I find myself being less stressed than playing normals, what a weird thing, it might have to do with me having first pick so I actually get to play my main top lane position instead of some position I don't know what the hell I'm doing and suck.
I've started using Vladimir top and I've had great luck with him in ranked, first game I fought against a Tryndamere and he couldn't do shit, his ult didn't save him because I just ulted and it detonated right after his ult was done and finished the game something like 7/1. Second game I fought against a Riven and holy shit is Riven impossible to fight as Vladimir, I had to play safe and farm near tower throughout the laning phase but by playing safe and with my friend winning mid lane and bot lane winning too, I only had to force a stalemate in my lane instead of trying to duel her and die and in the end we won pretty comfortably.
Currently at 2/1 in my placement matches, we'll see how that goes.

It's funny I just came out of a game as Vlad laning against a Kayle, where I also just made her ult irrelevant with my own.
Also what do people think about a 9/0/21 setup on Vlad? I tried it that last game and while I enjoyed being a speedy vampire, I didn't feel as safe as I do with my normal 9/21/0 setup.
What use would you even have in going 21 utility on Vlad, a little more spellvamp cdr and movespeed isnt needed at all when it doesnt even benefit you that much early and you rush the items that give you those stats
I dunno, the spellvamp and MS helped a lot I felt.
I didn't need to buy boots until like 10 minutes in, which let me rush my spirit visage easy.
Twitch is so easy to carry with, line up ult, hit all three guys that are running under their turret, press e, triple kill.

I've had good luck with 21/9/0 with Vlad because he has high natural health due to his passive.
I also tend to build him more AP than tanky-ish, unless I'm fighting against an AP champ top, spirit visage comes way later, I'd usually go something like hextech > hourglass > rabadon with the magic pen boots somewhere in the middle, though I never actually got to build rabadon because we won before I got to build it both games.
i want that elise skin but im silver 4/5 and when i try to play ranked i get tristanas who ragequit because their leona partners wont play passively

Yeah I've thought about doing that as well, but using some calculators online, he ended up having more health with a 9/21/0 setup anyway.
I do pretty much always go tanky Vlad, but usually I do rush the more heavy AP items like a Zhonya's after my Spirit Visage, which I pretty much always buy first unless I'm against AD.
