But Graves was pretty fucking stupid on release and even with all his nerfs (I don't think he got one buff) he's still alright. Irelia got left behind because of people favoring HP over resistances right now so her true damage forte isn't as useful.
Graves isnt to the same extent at all, his RELEASE damage was fucking over the top and they fixed it. GP was op as fuck with deny, then they nerfed him and he was still op and he got nerfed again to be ok then they just went at him with a crowbar and nerfed him over and over again.
I didnt even mention Graves, why'd you bring him up. His state isn't comparable to people who were brought into levels of total shit because he much like everyone else who was op as fuck when they came out were nerfed accordingly
Riot would rather nerf all the new champs, than buff all the older champs to fit in with the newer ones.
TBH, the reworks on champs brings them up, but it will keep being like this as new champions release. They did a good job with Lucian though.
