Draven is almost fun, Lucian looks fun but I haven't played him, but ez is generic as heck.
Lucian has a weaksauce ult that makes him really frustrating to use, Draven has a fun gimmick that makes things interesting and you can't go wrong with Ezreal.
why do people say lucian ult is weak i really want to know
why do people say lucian ult is weak i really want to know
because people expect it to kill everything which isn't its purpose
why do people say lucian ult is weak i really want to know
The damage it deals is too low relatively to its cooldown. It's good for clearing creep lanes, and that's it.
The damage it deals is too low relatively to its cooldown. It's good for clearing creep lanes, and that's it.
um what i've played like 10-15 games of lucian so far and i completely disagree i don't really know what you use it for other than "clear creep waves" but i find it to be a perfect finisher for your Q AA E AA combo or just as a finisher in general, i picked up PLENTY of neat kills when they were way too far away to catch up. and the cooldown literally goes down to 50 seconds, with a bluebuff that's 40 seconds and with any cdr item p much ontop of that it goes down to 30, level 1 ult might have a pretty high cd but that's how it is with any ult. and for the damage i think it deals plenty, it's literally a thinner version of miss fortunes ult if you can actually hit most of the bullets, and you can fucking move around and use E while using it unlike miss fortune, if it did anymore damage than it already does it would be way too fucking strong
Lucians ult is not weak at all... maybe when you have 1 dorans it wont do much damage but even then if a jungler ganks and you W R them and hit all the shots off (you should easily do this early there's a handful of shots) you've done a significant amount of damage to help which you wouldnt anyway because you dont have enough range You can also heavily damage a team lategame by just ulting for harassment with a 30 second cd or if you ever get caught or out of position still contribute to a teamfight while running away, the focus here being the fact you can MOVE with it on which is stronk as shit [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] How many times have you played Lucian to come at this judgement then Ganerumo, I mean I should just set a standard to ask people if they have even played the champ that they're shittalking nowadays because people seem to base things off retarded enemies or what you saw on a stream, newsflash it dont count for shit if you dont know what you're talking about.
i've played a whole bunch of lucian and can confirm lucians ult is not op but not shit either its also the best thing for clearing waves ever
Its not OP at all, its perfect how it is
lucian is pretty well balanced so
Today I played a bit of Lee Sin, a bit of Varus and a bit of Thresh. I have no idea why I'm typing this like it's a diary entry. A friend of mine who's in Diamond V showed me some tricks to do with Lee Sin, namely using flash to help kick enemies into the team, using a ward jump instead of a flash to do the same thing and also how to use smartcast. Smartcast is an absolute godsend, it's improved my play with most characters greatly. I was in a game and I managed to land a pretty awesome combo on a Teemo which killed in. Felt good. I played one game with Varus and the enemy bot lane were complete idiots. My support disconnected about 5 mins into the game and I managed to win bot lane by myself, plenty of double kills and even a triple when an equally stupid jungler tried to get me. Was fun but I felt the success was more down to the enemies being retards than me being good. I also played a bit of Thresh, I feel like I should buy him as he's one of the only support characters I actually like. But he's so expensive! I have about 6000 IP at the moment, I'm thinking about buying Rengar - what do you guys think?
Rengar is fun but I havent a clue how to play him so I'll wait for someone else to answer that question, but if you want a mobile assassin you have to get your hands on Zed he is the playmaker [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] If you bought Thresh you'd be set for support because he is the best support and that shits a fact
i'd wait and see what they do with rengar, they're gonna rework him and i'm not a huge fan of most of the changes i've played him a lot and he's one of my favorite champions atm
He's also free atm so you can get a feel of what he's like currently and then buy him after the rework if you like the changes
I dunno, they've moved the changes back into a spot I'm happy with now. The toggle stealth on ult does mean it does have a lot more versatility, and the improvements to his jungle play is something that I think is needed, cause character wise, he fits the jungle most.
Maybe Lucian's ult feels weak to me because I never managed to get in a good game with him. He's so support reliant that you can become useless with him pretty damn fast, and every single game I got to play as lucian was with a shitty support. When I was playing support and some dude was playing lucian it went much smoother because I was actually handing him out kills way early on. It's like a cat hiding in a cardboard box.
Wait, does the season end in two weeks with worlds, or in 3 months like last season? I'm a bit confused.
I think I heard it was October 31st.
This game... I feel like shit when I lose and feel nothing when I win. I think I am done playing. (At least ranked holy shit)
This game... I feel like shit when I lose and feel nothing when I win. I think I am done playing. (At least ranked holy shit)
I was like this a few months ago, but suddenly I felt a resurgence in interest and I began getting an almost euphoric high from winning and only being slightly peeved by losing (unless it was a particularly bad game, FLASHCAT.
demoted to silver 4, my dreams of becoming gold by the end of the season are slipping away.
You know, after what happened last year I really can't wait for this years worlds. If it's even half as entertaining I'll be happy.
lucian is my new fav adc
Literally every Lucian I've seen so far has been lack luster, even when fed early game.
Literally every Lucian I've seen so far has been lack luster, even when fed early game.
I dunno, I build an early last whisper on him and it makes him alright throughout the game.
I think you're taking it too seriously, i think he was joking
You'd be surprised. Many people don't give a single fuck about how you did the whole game. You could literally be God and 1v5 carry your whole team, then die before killing Nexus and you will be hated and flamed so much it's crazy, and they'll blame you for not winning if you don't manage to win, even though everyone else was useless the whole game.
Wait until some pro picks Lucian up (iirc he's disabled at the major tournaments) and then everyone will be good at him.
Weirdly enough Thresh is a pretty good support for lucian. Since Lucian has no CC whatsoever, you really need to pick a support who can consistently keep people close all the time and Thresh's ability to grab someone and keep it there for several seconds is perfect for that.
We had to hand over all our kills early, mid and late so Ninny could actually deal damage and feel useful.
unlike any of you guys i can actually carry as adc tho >:L

I played with atleast 3 Lucians since release in soloq and all of them blow hard. If I were to combine their total number of kills, deaths and assists, the number would come close to 3/93/20 All from 30-20m games. The only Lucian I saw that did well was DonQuixote from /v/ and it was on a 5v5 premade. He missed his ult an awful lot, though. I'm thinking he's just really hard and people have yet to get a grip on him.
