IP always goes back, if you're willing to spend 6300 IP plus the additional IP for the runes to go in it then chances are you're a frequent enough player to just earn it back soon enough.
Personally I'd advice to just wait until you get all the champions but that's just because I'm a champion hoarder and I'm obsessed with unlocking them all.
Still wish I had bought pages when there was this promo where you got two pages for the price of one.
I have 3 rune pages on my main account, which I usually use for MRpen, armor (sometimes MP5) and AP (for AP casters and supports mostly), then a page that's AS (because I was playing phoenix udyr a lot though I usually go ARpen), armor and MR (half scaling half flat because I bouht them wrong), and finally AD armor and MR which is the one I use the most

I have rather suboptimal rune pages that give flat AD/scaling AP and a bit of magic resist/armor. They were designed more to save up IP on runes than to be the perfect rune pages at level 20 and I never touched them back again.
Now that I'm starting to feel really comfortable with supports I'll probably end up doing a full page dedicated to them.
i have about 6 rune pages that i use regularly, i don't really give a fuck about scaling mr and armor and i really dont think one would need to worry about it unless they were in a very high elo

I just hope people doesn't make too much drama about this being similar to Hero wards in Dota2. It's only been 24 hours and I'm already tired of seeing so many posts about the Ao Shin/Ao Kuang drama.

The lux ward looks really cool when animated though.
I can understand the Draven ward skin. He is popular as fuck and everyone can't shut up about how le epic he is, "league of draaaaaveeen xDD".
Lux and Soraka though? Where the fuck did those come from? Like yeah, for your first run of ward skins let's pick a champ who has a staff for the most iconic thing about her, and a champ that is hardly ever played anymore. Why not a Thresh lantern? That one even makes sense, it's a lantern that gives vision. Or hell maybe some faction ones like a banner of Demacia or Noxus. A Solari icon bathed in sunlight maybe? There are like a billion iconic things in this game and they pick a staff and a banana. I don't understand.

Like I've said before, We don't know anything about the character beyond it's concept art. There is no reason to be upset about Ao Shin being based on a chinese Dragon King.
As long as it's kit is completly different that Ao Kuang's, there should be no problems at all.

Actually if you look at the concept, s/he is in some "lightning form" and spining in place making the tornado.
Yes it's common to see games "borrowing" skills, because it's almost impossible to make a completly orginal idea without making it a ridiculous gimmick or accidentally "ripping off" another idea that you didn't even know it was done before. In most of those cases they are either heavily modified or atleast they look different. (Still, Intentional ripoffs shouldn't be accepted so lightly.)
If they took a skill from a storm themed character for another storm themed character, it'd be pretty lazy to say the least.

wow these olaf changes are terrible
they nerfed 4 of his base stats, his fucking w gives him attack speed for some retarded reason, nerfed his e and his ult now gives him ad while active but he loses the free armor and mr when activating it
