Probably not, but if they do I hope they make him a bit darker like in that Splash Art. He looks kinda bright in game.

Either way, wasn't Garen's visual update to give extra explosions to an old champion anyways? Literally every single effect in his new art is explosions heatwaves death misery etc
I think eventually any VU will just be purely aesthetic in nature, because there are plenty of champions that technically look fine, but the way they're stylised doesn't fit the current aesthetic Riot have in mind for the game.
Garen's actually a pretty good example of that.
weird that they chose garen though. i understand doing a VU just because he didn't fit the artstyle, but there's champs out there who don't fit the artstyle AND have shitty models
still, good that riot's choosing to go with a defined artstyle (while making shitty old skins become pretty good at the same time)
The reason that they did Garen is because they had assets from Twist of Fate and because it'd be so hard to fuck up a Garen VU.
No one was going to get mad over a Garen VU like they did with Trundle and Karma, because what is there to radically change with Garen?

Score's current corki build is pretty cool (same person that used statikk rush trist at ogn)
Dorans - Phage/Sheen - Trinity - Sorcerer shoes/Last Whisper - IE/Bork - Idk what else, the / in items means get both but in any order you prefer
Obviously not that different except getting lots of penetration early, you also use 5 points in masteries to get the magic pen on the offense tree (can get those 5 points by taking away the flat ad for 2 points and the %increased damage for 3 points)
Then there's [url=http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/22037460]this guy[/url] who mains twitch on na and has a very specific runepage/mastery set up for twitch that lets you maximise your early expunge damage, also building bork-statikk-lw to get stacks up fast and make them do more damage so you can all in someone with ignite when you stealth in to lane for easy kills

Both olaf and garen have pretty outdated models, just old models that have hair look like garbage in game now and garen has no hair and is pretty flat on detail so he doesn't look as terrible
Olaf was actually released after garen, only by 2 months or so though

I know it's just a VU but it looks like it'll make garen a lot more fun to play, just so much more weight behind his animations now.

AFAIK it only happens with a killing blow and can only be seen by Garen and the person killed.

I hope they do this with more champions. I loved Yi forever ago and after his rework it's like he gained a new life. Each hit was so satisfying.

The effect won't be as visible with low effect settings. Don't pros play with low effect settings just to have more clear visibility anyways?

i keep using it thinking that it works by pressing e and then you go into the air, then you can press e while hovering over an enemy to go to them
but noo, instead its either you have to click the ground to go in the air, then e while hovering over an enemy to go to them, or you click the enemy and go instantly to them with no delay
like i have to add 2 seconds to my thought process because of this

Olaf would need a VU to bring everyone back to him. Riot pretty much cut the following behind him in half by doing the exact same thing to his stats. Sure, people would flock to him after his return to power, but even more people would go back to him if he looks a bit prettier, which would speed up how people make new builds for him and decide if he's tanky, AD, or bruiser.
Odds are Fiddles and Ryze will be up for visual updates now, but Ryze got nerfed to shit and is borderline unplayable so I think Fiddles will be VU'd just to mesh his model/texturing into the new artstyle.
