Frozen Heart was worth getting on manaless champs like Shen and Lee Sin back when it was one of the best items in the game, but these days I believe it's a lot more situational than it used to be.

So I've been wanting to pick up Riven for a long time. Then she got kinda nerfed. Then I started watching Best Riven NA to think "Huh this guy only wins like ~45% of matches. Riven must be shit tier. Then I played her during a free week and thought "Wow even if I knew how this champion worked, I'd still feel under powered." Then I saw Faker play her in solo queue. I tried to figure out what I was doing wrong. At first I thought it was that I didn't have CDR like Faker but no I finally figured it out. Her Q has a "true cooldown" which no guides mention. So if I Q > wait until last possible second > Q again, wait until last possible second > and Q a third time, it'll already be off cooldown to use again. That alone made her play like an entirely different champion. Time to drop 40 games into learning her.

I actually practiced that in a bot game when I finally got her to test how potent it was. If I mashed Q, I'd need ignite + my ult/ravenous hydra active to kill someone. If I threaded my auto attacks in between moves, I could 100 to 0 someone without blowing anything too major. It's insane.

Cause you can even be cocky and go long sword + 2 pots which gets you going and you don't lose that 400 you spent on the sword. Even if you get first blood, I rarely see elixirs as being worth it. Also is there a good guide on how to wall hop with Riven? Like I tried several times and failed more often than not.
