We have explained you why we think Red Candy is a valid start, you throw it away with "But it might go wrong" or "you will lose 350g" every single time.
We don't think it going wrong is a significant risk and we think that in a toplane kill scenario the XP and Lane Control is much more significant then the gold (especially for somebody like riven).
Also if you want people to have a serious discussion with you maybe you shouldn't try really hard to look like a retard.

I prefer Maokai in the jungle over Malphite. He doesn't have the engage that malphite has, but he can gank 24/7 with a glacial shroud and spirit of the Ancient golem/Spectral wraith.

That's assuming you are always damaged.
Pots have a much bigger burst of health when you need it, with doran's you can farm for 5 waves without getting serious damage then suddenly they almost kill you.
Then, you can either stay in lane with 150 HP and autoattack and hope they don't go in on you, or recall.
If you had potions, you could have gotten back to slightly over 450 HP and stayed in lane for a bit longer.

actually if you buy a blade youre supposed to attack minions more than once if you want to heal back
with proper warding it shouldnt be much of a problem

the blade also gives 80 hp thats a very important part
I guess if you're on a champion that really needs botrk and you're against a bursty lane, it's safer to go longsword 2 pots
i prefer dorans tho
I get Doran's Blade more often than not lately, but I'm still fond of the Longsword + 2 Health Potions.
Really, I only feel very secure with Doran's Blade when my support has some form of heal; kind of balances out really nicely.
I also go doran's more often than not but there is a reason to buy either of them because the game is made that way
