i really want to buy twitch, but i kind of also want to wait until i have 99 champions to buy him
"i got 99 champs but a twitch ain't one"
or you could just go ahead and buy Twitch because he's really fun
cause im not using ap runes im using regular with 21/9 masteries that give me ap and ap pr level + ignite mastery, and all i need is 1 basic attack when they have half hp at level 1. it works.
why are you using ap runes on twitch? i do not play twitch so i don't know how his shit works.
or you could just go ahead and buy Twitch because he's really fun
masteries* and because expunge also has ap scaling. i dunno but if it works for him then alright.

75 from AA + 90 from ignite + 12 from venom + 38 from expunge =/= 300 ??

assuming you're bad enough to only get 1 aa off and why are you even trying to argue with me, it works.
Started playing lee sin, learning the hard way. Pretty fucking tough champ but he's fun to play regardless.
Doesn't help that I'm getting in teams with wonders such as full AP alistar that pretends to play support only to steal everything from ashe and blitzcrank jungle.
Who should I save up for next, Lee Sin or Xin Zhao?
I need more junglers in my life.
but that is the point of matchmaking
get grouped with people of equal skill so that your W/L equals 50/50
equal level, definitely not equal skill. when we should be winning, we lose. dude, that 19/1/5 game i had as ryze in a level 9 game? those 2 aces i got? nobody pushed after the aces, and because of that, we lost. people in these levels don't understand the basics of the game.
it's not completely a bad thing, though. i can outplay my gold iv bud when we're on different teams sometimes, so i know what i'm doing. i would say personally, i believe i am a good player, but not great, so, when i play at these low levels i usually am teaching more game sense and basic skills to my team, and sometimes because of this we win.
@ashxu
it's not about making mistakes. it's about understanding the game more. for example, my gold iv buddy 1v1'd me ryze vs ryze in the howling abyss. he's never played ryze. because of his vast knowledge of the game compared to mine, he beat me the first game. after that, i won the next 2 1v1's because of my game sense was 'increased' and seeing his aggressive playstyle as ryze allowed me to counter him with my defensive ryze. because it was a 1v1, it was easy to focus on what i should do. (it could've just been determination to win the 2 matches, because if i lost i would've had to buy him pulsefire ezreal. i got dark crystal ryze for winning ;p)
personally for me, it's about watching the game and experimenting with your choices while you play the match instead of making mistakes. if you make a mistake in lol, there are other choices to try out. there's never one definite answer if you make a mistake c:
sorry if this is another tl;dr
i learn directly from playing small games/looking at what's going on when things cool down during a match, or being directly told what to do. it's hard to take notes on things that may not seem as significant for me.

win zhao
[editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
+20 lp in gold
still gaining 5lp a win
this is not fun
[editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
our mid just called their jungle a "mid tribal noob" and his name is Sungbumburral so i think possibly calling someone tribal is an indian insult or something
42 lp now, after 2 games, and i just owned both games. im on a winning streak, i just get it together and turn the music up loud. lose a game, take a break. it woooorks.
i still don't understand how you've somehow passed me
i dunno, i just went over the wall of poop and now i'm just amazing
How do you beat leblanc as ryze? She consistently bursts be for half my hp and scales proportionately with my MR if she gets void staff...
How do you beat leblanc as ryze? She consistently bursts be for half my hp and scales proportionately with my MR if she gets void staff...
you use cc and reflexes to stop her
you wont be able to 1v1 a lb, just get your team to lock her down and unleash your scary combos
or if she's dumb wait until she w's into you and then rune prison her ass

the thing is, she can burst almost anyone with a full combo, so if she uses just 1 spell on something, then you can go in. basicly keep track of her cds and shut her down.
the only way to beat a leblanc one on one is hope she's stupid or just crush her in laning phase
the problem is ryze can't really do the latter, so just pray to every deity you know
[editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
cc is an option too but ryze only has his snare so
so you mess up her combo and get the fuck out of there or have your team follow up.
I guess one thing to do would just be to sit back and farm your way up past her
I haven't played Ryze since the range nerfs so I don't know if its possible to do the level 2 all-in I used to do
well it's not a straight up nerf, they buffed his ult speed as well, i liked it better before though. his last hitting can be a little tough against certain champs now
LB is fun. Her ulted R does the same damage as her ulted Q so if you have a clear shot Q-E-R does more damage than Q R W without being instant.
wait what, her ulted r does the same damage as a her ulted q wat.
i think i sorta understood what you mean, and yeah they changed her spells around to be less q spam.
her ulted E. actually q r e would work just as well
I was just having trouble understand what you meant instead of ulted r xD, didn't think about it being next to e.

5 games in a row where you just own is so satisfying, and in 2 days I can finally use the 100 bucks I won on PhantomL0rds stream. This week is just great.
can anybody give me advanced tips just in general? my champ skills with ryze are very good but my summoner skills are below-average. i do not have the game sense most of the time to compete against people that have been playing for a little over a year a lot of the time, so, i get outplayed.
i'm a lvl 10 summoner who's been playing with his friends that are gold iv/silver iv ranked solo 5v5. i play normals with them as ryze. my ryze or champ skills in general are again, very good. but when you play against people who may have been playing for 9+ months, while i've been only been playing for less than a month, it's crazy. i can't keep up with a for example, fed Vi as a fed ryze in such high leveled matches. no matter the amount of combos i pull, no matter how many times i try to outplay a fed champ that is able to tank my massive amount of ap damage as ryze, i get fucked. i need to be able to hold my own instead of relying on team fights so much in a game. ap carry is reliant on team fights, i know this, but sometimes everybody is killed and i need to hold mid from 3 people, but it's just not possible with my amount of game sense.
i can play same-leveled normals and dominate, but we still lose 50% of the time because people at this level can be retards and play a champ they don't know how to play instead of going into a bot match and doing so. this is the main reason i play with my higher-leveled friends. ffs i went 19/1/5 in a level 10 summoner match and we still lost. we aced 2 times.
tl;dr
i'm bad
need 2lrn good game sense
game sense tips pls
I think it was faker that said that "people should play ryze because he teaches how to combo properly and twisted fate because he teaches about map awareness and checking the minimap"
you already play ryze, so you could go ahead and try tf to gain some minimap-checking skills. that's obviously assuming you're ganking a lot as twisted fate, but still, i guess that'd be a start. you could also try shen because he'd also help with that
but well, you've been playing for less than a month, so there's honestly not a lot i can tell you. you're gonna learn most stuff by yourself until you get to 30
is faker drunk? ryze is spam all buttons, you cant go wrong lol.
[editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
i just press w first then it turns into qwewqeqweqweqweqweqweqwe
how is ryze good for learning combos
theres almost no delay between his spell casts its unlike any champions except maybe for veigar or LeBron James
if you just spam your spells as ryze you won't be properly utilizing his passive at all

you go W E Q for very obvious reasons, E W Q if you have enough time and range
