[QUOTE=Zukriuchen;42415399]sheen and triforce (which give extra damage after using a spell) proc on towers, but there's no offensive items or spells that you can actually use on them, i think and yeah 3k is big. not "they'll lose for sure" big, but its a slippery slope. i'd say about 4.5-6k would be a huge gold lead[/QUOTE] technically kass' W does bonus damage (but not to nexus, thanks xpeke) but i don't think it counts as a spell at one point heimer's grenades could damage them, which is funny [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] so the winner gets skins, right? if that's true i want royal to win just because the skins will be better probably
well, passive skills (does kass' W really work against towers? i could swear it didnt) and empowered attacks usually deal bonus damage (even diana's passive), but i think the only spell you can actually target a turret with is janna's shield
yeah, nether blade's active does bonus damage to towers wtf you can target turrets with janna's shield? i know you can use like Decisive Strike against it but i think that counts as an empowered attack like you said. you can't use renekton's W, which is weird.
[QUOTE=Zinayzen;42415441]wtf you can target turrets with janna's shield?[/QUOTE] yes lol it's been known since season 1 that you can shield turrets
basically anything that affects the NEXT melee attack will do the appropriate bonus damage, but no abilities will actually hit it. TSM Kluwe please
I find myself slightly disappointed. Anyone else? As a Royal fan, that is.
[QUOTE=Everstvetita;42415349]Im watching this grand finale as a dota player, I noticed the casters kept emphasizing the 3k gold lead. Is this a drastic gold lead? along with that, do weapon/item procs work on towers?[/QUOTE] Its not really that huge, but its not something to be underestimated either. 3k Gold is equal to a 4 tower lead, and item cost in league is about 40% lower then in dota.
Plus gold difference is an always relevant conversation piece for the casters.
i don't play dota so i'm not sure but i've heard that dota and lol approach items and skills differently. supposedly in league base damage on skills is much higher than it is in dota so dota puts much more of a priority on items. i have no idea if that's true. [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] why do royal have such a fear boner against vi?
Dota 2 doesn't require as much farming, but you also lose gold when you die, so it's a bit different. There are also a lot more items in Dota 2 that act as another minor ability. also SKT better go all the way
[QUOTE=Zinayzen;42415492]i don't play dota so i'm not sure but i've heard that dota and lol approach items and skills differently. supposedly in league base damage on skills is much higher than it is in dota so dota puts much more of a priority on items. i have no idea if that's true.[/QUOTE] As Cold said, Dota has higher item prices, and when that's combined with higher gold-per-creep and the fact it's lost on death, there's a massive priority on items. Dota also possesses far more Active Ability Items. LoL abilities also scale with items, while Dota abilities do not. That's not to say those abilities are weak, but they have a flat amount of power. [B]Edit:[/B] Also I'm sure there's something to do with Dota's stat calculation of Strength, Agility, and Intelligence (Health, Armor & Attack Speed, Mana Regen/Pool, along with attack damage based on a hero's primary attribute).
man i hope royal wins two i want five games goddammit [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] kennen vs jax interesting
They didn't ban Jax.... *sigh*
man i hate jax whitez just pick fizz and don't play as bad as regi and you're gold
[QUOTE=Zinayzen;42415492]i don't play dota so i'm not sure but i've heard that dota and lol approach items and skills differently. supposedly in league base damage on skills is much higher than it is in dota so dota puts much more of a priority on items. i have no idea if that's true.[/QUOTE] dota's skills don't scale at all, so you have no such thing as hard magic damage carries, because late game they simply fall off no matter what, save for like 2-3 heroes that actually do scale. so basically, almost all mages are played as supports, and you need good physical damage carries in pretty much every comp
ah. yeah, i never could get into dota. i don't know why, because it should be basically the same, but i couldn't last hit AT ALL in dota. it was embarrassing. [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] rip where is my skt skin [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] god help us if we get a jax skin
Dota 2 last hitting and LoL last hitting are very different, it's really satisfying to farm in both games when you get the hang of it [editline]October 5, 2013[/editline] jax just got a kill rip royal
skin is gonna be called "Pro Player Zed", calling it
that jax gank was curse levels of sloppy, lol
[QUOTE=ashxu;42415602]that jax gank was curse levels of sloppy, lol[/QUOTE] kennen wasnt even 6, jax had used his stun not long before just to farm without much harrass, but if it wasnt for that he'd have gotten a double for sure [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] also they have no damage lol, jax right in the middle of 3 people and they cant burst him down
#rekt [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] wow disrespect faker /laughed after he killed him [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] this is pathetic
gg its over everybody go home
Whites is on tilt pretty hard this game.
gg morale royal making the worst decisions and my guess is because they just dont have any hope of winning left
Godlike really isn't very godlike tbh this is the most underwhelming finals ever
nah, the first two games were pretty entertaining, especially the second one, but this is just a stomp
I've been rooting for Royal but I dunno. From the start I could tell SKT is going to beat them fairly hard. Royal just doesn't seem all that outstanding as a pro team compared to SKT.
kennen ult while he just got snared ...
G'night, everyone. SKT is utterly amazing in their plays and execution, and Royal surprised me in game 2. While it's interesting to watch the best team in the world play, there's not really any... tension. Impressive, but I wasn't really on the edge of my seat. I don't even have much to talk about with my friends other than "Uhhh... yeah, wow. That happened."
royal played like trash curse levels of sloppy tower dives, got caught too many times. The only impressive things they did was win a team fight while behind.
