it's not like that at all, I'm just genuinely curious. They seem like roughly the same thing except trundle has his pillar for area denial and stuff while Jax doesn't. Trundle seems like he's as good as Jax but with more utility

I think people have been asking for this since beta. Really surprised to actually see it. I really like they way they did it too. All the positives of such a system without most or any of the negatives.

He becomes tanky as fuck lategame, but doesn't deal that high DPS in fights.
He's good soaker, but he can't keep aggro on himself after he might or might not kill 1 guy in fight with full combo.
Unless fed to shit, he can't keep up that well otherwise. Main problem is the chance of getting kited or caught alone randomly.

The general populace already enforces the meta. If you get paired up with some random dipshits and you want to try your 2 pro 4 them new thing you'll most likely get reported for feeding if you don't utterly carry the fuck out of them.
If anything, from the sounds of it, this will let you try out crazy new shit without fear since the others will all have to agree to it before hand.

i didnt see anybody answer this on the next page but jax is almost a carry with his late game scaling and insane amount of damage without having to build many defensive items, trundle on the other hand is a tanky bruiser who does decent damage to squishies and has a lot of disruption but otherwise isn't going to be destroying an adc in a few hits like Jax can

I'm pretty sure they've been waiting on season 4 for replays. They never want to give us too many huge changes during the season for whatever fucking reason.
