In solo queue maybe but sadly in competitive afaik there were only 20 champions that were constantly picked/banned. About half the roster was picked but a lot of them were only once or twice and this counts the troll games like the TSM one where Reginald picked Teemo at Worlds.

and imo the competitive scene is so stale because pro players are awfully uncreative, not because of how some champions are more viable than others

my support had to restart because her game was all messed up 2 minutes in so i laned 1v2 for the first minute, my masteries were somehow completely fucked too cause i had 525 starting gold and i got gold for hitting people

If you want to see competitive creativity I recommend watching OGN, Garena, or some other Asian tournament. Those guys pick a lot different stuff, I even think there was a triple smite game this week, and a Dorans Blade Jungle Elise iirc.

AP sion is stupidly unviable. He's pisspoor and is just a walking magic potato.
Yet somehow I managed to do this.

He can get fed and win games, but you pretty much NEED to get your jungler to help you get the first kill.
Also, build mobil5 boots and roam with him. Treat him like Ahri or LeBonkers. Roam heavily and get fed.
Or better yet, just don't play him.

I think it's because in competitive play, every little thing makes a huge difference
Like, sure Lucian and Varus may be really good, but if Vayne's a more reliable pick even by a little bit, they're gonna choose her
What is it about people who play vayne/ADCs in general I guess that makes them think that once they get Botrk that they can 1v8 and come out alive?

mobility + stack zeals thats how you play sion
lulu + graves is the best thing ever against a vayne

she gets dumpster'd on like nobody's business
a soraka sivir lane could probably fuck up a vayne
shes not really as bad early on as people make her out to be
like i said, 3 ticks of silver bolts can harrass a lot of people out of lane, especially against a support without a heal
she's fucked if she goes up against a really aggressive matchup but if not she does fine in lane

I see a lot of Vaynes AA + Q + E for a quick proc
i mean thats what ive always done when i played vayne, you can usually make an AA hit them as they're being pushed away so the third tick hits them without them being able to hit you with anything
