Unless you literally won every match in gold V and won both your promo series, it's probably not going to happen.
I had 16 wins over losses after beating Gold V promo and I only went to Gold IV. Didn't skip to gold III even though I had gold III MMR.

LoL attracts more playerbase due to a variety of reasons.
Dota doesn't advertise itself as much as Riot does LoL.

It is true that Valve doesnt advertise as much though. I mean they have SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY(not just from Dota 2) why dont they create more trailers or just build up hype for stuff?
