Because your mmr was above silver 1, and riot system believes you belong in a higher league/division than silver 1.
Because of that you gian more lp than people whol belong in that league.

Its because if you are just on a winning spree riot counts it as luck, but if you lose some and you then go on a winning spree again, you should start gaining more lp, because then they count it as skill.

Please enlighten me, I always thought using abilities gave more deepz than ult.
thats cause you dont use it as part of your ability rotation but to pick off distant targets
essentially same range as a nidalee spear and used for the same purpose
im sorry but i think i can count lucian ult kills on my hands, both in game and on streams
your "pick off distant targets" is pointless since its so difficult to hit and lucian only shoots in one direction
culling is good for pushing and objectives, its extremely unreliable for anything else

as i said some time ago, all i ever want from culling is the ability to change its direction once
but it is good for picking off fleeing/distant targets, nothing more to it
just don't use it if you're in AA range (unless it's early laning phase and you just hit 6, then it deals more damage than your other spells)
not like its impossible to hit, its got a long enough range to hit [i]something[/i]
its not something to use in place of autoattacks
it really really sucks that it can only be fired in one direction
if you could change the direction of it then it would be very likely that you could hit all the bullets which would be fucking retarded
as opposed to reducing his kill potential to one narrow line which doesn't move relative to his position yeah i can see how that would be op
