I honestly think if you went over a replay of every game you played and analysed, you'd see your key weaknesses and then be able to act on them. It'd take a while drilling the habits in, but once you've mastered that champ/role, da elo bitches will come easy.

I just blame myself for each and every death and lost teamfights and try not to blame teammates, it lets me figure out what's wrong with my playstyle and improve. Watching more than a few replays is pretty unfeasible imo.
oh, i'm sure. and honestly after I started really thinking about mistakes I make (harassing too hard in lane and missing CS, poorly engaging, etc) I've started to play way better.
i just doubt that's what he did, he's probably just naturally way fucking better than i am

one thing that still pisses me off about low silver is that we'll group mid (which is where I usually am so it's usually not even my choice, they just kind of stand around my lane) and then they'll just stare at the enemy and not engage. then top/bot get pushed because no one's there so i'm like "guys we need to still be top/bot for minion waves" and then they ignore me so i go bot to make sure we don't lose a tower in exchange for literally nothing, and that's when my team decides to engage, and then i get blamed for it.
i mean come on

I have a friend in plat (not that good compared to diamond but the highest ranked friend I have) and one thing I notice is he realises everything that's going on and what could happen. I think you just have to constantly be aware, even when just trying to make a last hit.

Happens waaay too much on normals too (but i am lvl 26 scum so i never played ranked).
the worst part is now that velocity played that one game where they splitpushed and poked, every time i run to a lane to make sure we don't lose a tower they're going to think i'm trying PRO STRATZ and yell at me even more

as swain i got a double kill against a yorick and naut. we engaged at full health and i whittled them both down enough to kill them without dying. that was unexpected.
unfortunately, skarner/trist went bot and both had 20+ deaths so we lost even though i ended up like 15/3.
