Well in a sense multiplayer games can be considered in a very similar sense to card games and stratedy table top games. They can be considered sports that have more of a basis upon psychological skill rather than physical. Physical sports do require a fair bit of psychological skill though there is quite a dependence on physical skill as well.

if you want a really fucking hard counter to riven in general, pick rammus
"wow dummy rammus is supposed to counter all ad"
but riven is a PURE melee caster that buys nearly exclusively ad
champs like zed or talon still have ranged poke, while riven has none, and if you taunt her, you strip off 70% of her dmg output
