I'd say Leona, Zyra and Blitz are his best supports.
Then again, skill is above all. Whatever people are comfortable with could work.

I never really had an opportunity to support a Lucian (he's a rather rare pick despite his recent release) but so far I tried Thresh, Fiddlesticks and Blitz. The best comp was fiddle, because Lucian was intelligent enough to bait them in a bush where I'd fear them and let him take easy kills.
Thresh was second and blitz last, Thresh and Lucian's combined harass makes for some potent bullying.

Lucian is really good, I feel like people just underestimate his potential

You should start the opposite of whatever lane you are gone gank first (gank top, start bottom buff).
Always take your first 2 buffs ASAP, especially when playing against an aggressive enemy jungler.
You ALWAYS want to do a level 3 gank. (You have a level advantage, most laners only have 2/3 spells often lacking an escape, etc etc)
In a lot of games that first gank is gone be toplane, since they will rarely have wards, and the lane is easy to gank compared to mid.
You can consider waiting in a bush for the enemy jungler if you think you can beat them in a 2vs2.

This helps a lot. I appreciate it. I haven't been ganking @ lvl 3, typically i do my full clear before I even try a gank. But that makes much more sense, and probably explains why I just haven't been successful at the role.

Been really enjoying taric lately, especially duoing with my friend who's a pretty good ADC. The game where I went 6/2/30 was actually a 4v5 from the start of the game where our yi jungler never even joined and they were consistently ganking 4v2 so winning that felt really good

seriously why do I go from getting +22/-12 per game, then after promotions, at zero LP, getting +6/-3. This system just dosn't make any sense. I could understand if I would get that little if I was at like.. almost promotions to diamond but at zero lp?
