That's why I have no runes ;-;
I turned all my Tier 1 runes to Tier 2 and then all my Tier 2 runes into Tier 3, ending up with only a few runes.

I love how much Riot tries to make LoL more user-friendly but then it still has stuffs like Runes and Masteries that screw new players over.
I mean, who know what runes to buy or which masteries should he get if he didn't read up on guides and stuffs.
Just my opinions, tho.

Masteries are important, runes at the other hand can wait until you hit level 20 so you can get greater ones.

If you don't know what masteries or runes to get, you shouldn't even enter ranked.
The only real problem with low level games is that there is almost always a smurf that crushes everyone

well, in riots defense, they're reworking runes so you can get what you want for your playstyle rather than what's considered "the meta"
and unless you're not 30 and your normal mmr matches you with higher level players, you're mostly gonna go against people that have the same number of mastery points as you
They're still boring and unintuitive
They're basically required to be on an even footing with everyone else so why have them at all

If it didn't require >5 champs worth of IP, then I can say that it's a good thing to experiment with different runes.
Right now, you invest so much IP for runes, that going for anything but the "Meta" is a risky move with very little reward, because:
Wins --> Lots of IP --> Runes --> More wins
If you get the optimal runepage for that one role.
