Yep. The only reasoning that I could think of is if some famous or recognizable pro player did it and rolled face because they were playing with baddies so people start following what they did like sheep.

AP Rengar was better than AD Rengar on his release when he had a spammy, health% based-healing shout that gave armour and MR with a 1.0AP ratio that you could use literally 4 times within 6 seconds.
It got nerfed AP-wise and the skill itself was changed around so I do'nt get why people still play AP Rengar.

Not really. It was good on release if you look back in the history. Riot even flat-out stated they didn't like that and didn't mean for it to happen but he had a higher win rate with AP than he did AD lol. Much higher.

I thought maxing W on Rengar was a normal thing, at least it was at his release because the damage per level on his Q wasn't good enough to make it worth it or something.
w was nerfed to hell, no reason to max it first anymore

ap rengar is novelty at this point, the only reason to do it is to stomp some pubbies
you used to max w, in jungle or in lane for sustain, but you max Q now and build lifesteal
keep in mind bonetooth was buffed, and that was the only thing buffed amongst the nerfs, your early game objective is to throw a bola at everyone's potential kills, win game later
From what I've seen of these Rengars is that they build resistances and health so I guess the idea is to max W first to become ultra-tanky so that the only thing you'll be good at is not doing much of anything.

This just in, Jungle Jinx really is good, I have flat armor seals, magic resistance glyphs, bit of lifesteal and damage would you consider that okay? I may go for 4% lifesteal instead of 2%.
