Here's a fun little nuance: If you're on Curse of the Maze and don't want to use your key(s) to open locked doors, just keep walking in and out of rooms with similar doors. You'll eventually get lucky and walk into a room that's adjacent to the target room, but through the door that is locked. To prevent you from being stuck or forced to use a key, the door will just open and you're free to walk in as you please from then on. KK6G V0ZJ if you want to see it happening in Basement II. I walked into the treasure room there and it opened the shop for me.

Aside from that, there's the donation machine, with the promise of unlocks in the future, and challenges. Generally straightforward.

I just downloaded rebirth on ps4 since it's free for ps+ users; first time playing this game and holy shit I'm overwhelmed with how much SHIT to do there is in the game. So many goddamn secret walls and amazing mixs of items to create such unique builds that you just lose because you die :v:

I kinda like using the Jump item, I'll be honest. He just looks so happy when he jumps, and when you leap out of the way he's like "Syke bitch!" or "Nope!", really makes things feel great. Too many games have the protagonist be all grim-dark and grumpy all the time, even when they toss a guy into the air and slice them in half, so it's refreshing to have an opportunity for them to be happy while fighting.

Isaac smiles whenever he holds an item above his head. But some super-genius decided that items should be held directly over his face, so players never actually see Isaac's short glint of happiness before the item he picked up mangles his head.

Like I said, always nice to see a protagonist enjoying himself in combat for once.

I found Soy Milk for the first time today wondering what the fuss was about. Dear god this feels so off, i can't even buff it with damage ups. What kind of items should i try to hope for to make this less awful?

It seems to outperform items like Yum Heart or Book of Revelations, if you get the cards that is. Pretty fantastic item.
