In the original game, the Purist challenge always had a tradition of giving me Brimstone followed by a few other devil room items, resulting in a ridiculously overpowered run. Of course the one in Rebirth was no exception. I guess some things never change. :v:

I beat Mom's Heart as Samson, but I felt like I had a good enough build to take on Satan/Isaac. I haven't unlocked the full picture yet so I had to to find some other way. I backtracked after beating the heart and went to the arcade. There was a key beggar, so I gave him all my keys. My last key spawned a red chest, which teleported me into the God room and I fought Isaac and won. I'm lucky as hell.

I had a similar experience on my last run where in the womb 2, the first treasure chest i touched teleported me right to a devil room. I was originally gonna fight mom's heart and then use my "we need to go deeper just in case the devil room didnt spawn but then i was like "nah, fuck that"

Any tips for a full Holy run to unlock [sp] Dad's Key [/sp] I cant for the life of me get the Angel Room

Other than that, keep trying. Don't aim for getting two angel rooms though, go for a normal playthrough but hope you get the angel rooms.

Uhm, so I killed [sp]mega satan[/sp] with Judas and unlocked nothing at all.. Is the VERY FINAL BOSS supposed to not drop a thing?

forgive me if i'm out of the loop on this one, but did they change how The Lost unlocks? Is the wiki outdated? Did they change it so that you can't use seeds on the first three or something? Because I'm pretty sure I did all four deaths the way they were supposed to be done. Is there something else you have to do after getting killed by satan?

Just had the most op run ever. Started azazel, got ludovico, then was turned into guppy. Anything that didn't instantly die to ludovico brimstone was swarmed with flies. Moms heart died in less than a second and [sp]isaac[/sp] died in maybe 5.

The game looks so fun that I'm purposely not buying it right now in the fear that I won't have the self control to stop playing it and study. I'll be so happy when I can finally join all of you guys.

I got lucky and found goat's head in a golden chest. By this point I already was more holy than evil. Pretty easy

man, I just beat Beans, it's in the cards, slow roll, computer savvy and waka waka in just 2 hours all were easy apart from waka waka though which I won by a thread :v: I was down to 1/2 a heart when I found [sp]that room with the bed that heals you, then i bombed the carpet and found the item room in which I bought the broken watch[/sp] hilariously it activated in the boss room which slowed all the enemies, I had no damage ups though so I barely won [editline]00:49[/editline] just did the host in one run just now as well today was a good day [editline]01:23[/editline] just beat purist with half a heart left, thanks to lil' brimstone and dark bum missed mom's heart's final projectiles by about 1 pixel, nearly killed my heart too

I'm trying to pretend hard mode is a balanced challenge, but that's hard when you skip 5 treasure rooms due to no keys being dropped.

Aaaaw yiss. Nabbed a Lil Brimstone/Technology run with Guppy's Hairball and Holy Mantle. Every other item was a damage up. Dark room gave me Guppy's Collar, Guppy's Head and Pinky Eye. Got my Dead Boy achievement finally.

ok seriously is there something the wiki doesn't mention about unlocking the lost? I have made three attempts at what SHOULD have done it, but nothing works for some reason. The wiki says you have to get killed as azazel by one of satan's projectiles, but that didn't unlock it for me. Then I saw a youtube video where someone unlocked it after getting killed by a stomp, but that didn't unlock it for me either. What can I be doing wrong?

Against Satan with gnawed leaf and mom's wig with azazel, only one heart left, trying to clutch it, 5 minutes later I die at the same time as Satan after he stomped me while I was producing more spiders. Suddenly I respawn thanks to Guppy's collar. Nice I've got another shot at this! I enter the boss room and instantly got stomped because of mom's toenail...

I also think you have to die on the 2nd phase where he stands in the middle of the screen.

So like, cellar, catacombs, and necropolis are ineligible. I don't know if that's true, but the last run I did included no alternate floors, and I unlocked the lost

Just had a run with Azazazaz where I got Tech 1 on Floor 2, and Tech 2 the on Floor 4. Yep, that's it. Never gonna have a run that fun or easy again.

I didn't like the music of Rebirth at first, but it's really grown on me after a little while of playing. I'm absolutely in love with the alt floor music. Especially the Cellar, oh my fuck.

Why does the Haunt do a full fucking heart of damage on contact. He's a Cellar boss, the only thing that should be doing full hearts of damage are spikes on those levels.

I like how the exploding spiders do 1 heart on contact, but 1/2 on explosion. I feel like that's not intended. Also, those fucking tall egg-shitting spiders that can flee at light speed? Yeah. Those shouldn't be a floor one enemy at all.

Cellar is overall harder than Caves.
