Oh neat blue spiders. I hope there will also be Skatole variant for spiders.
Edmund has been tweeting looking for pixel artists so I doubt the current art for Rebirth is final.
Oh neat blue spiders. The only problem is that spiders will have trouble attacking enemies over chasms, so unless Edmund is removing rooms that have enemies stuck on the other side of chasms, the attack spiders are going to render some runs impossible to complete.

He said that the gif was a result of 2 items interacting, one of which we've seen already. So my hunch is that it's the one that gives you super-rapidfire but low damage, and the other obviously spawns attack spiders. Consider that Mulligan was originally planned to spawn attack flies directly instead of indirectly. Edmund mentioned it on his formspring, the "arrows" icon for Mulligan is an attack fly, and the Mulligan enemies themselves attack by spawning flies. I'd bet to say it replaced the tears.

Anyway, I really like edmund's "breaking the game is fun so we're going to let you break it all you want" philosophy. More games need it. God, I want this game on 3DS...
Also that gif with the attack spiders makes me think of this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/VvNke.jpg[/t]
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7LzrJ1E.png[/img_thumb] polyphemus + technology runs are the best had it by caves 1 too
Also that gif with the attack spiders makes me think of this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/VvNke.jpg[/t]
That actually happened in the comics? Huh, guess the guy didn't know jack about Spidey's "power roster", thankfully being unable to call Parker's bluff.
The new items look so op, I love it. I was a little disappointed when Ed said op items won't interact with each other e.g. quad shot had no effect on brimstone. I was kinda hoping quad shot plus brimstone gives player the ability to shot four directional brimstone like the fallen, I would be ok if those each brimstone shot only had 1/4 of the damage because that would look so badass

Mutant Spider and Inner Eye will interact with Brimstone by multiplying damage but making charge time more lengthy, much like how it is currently.
Monday update also a new track

This is nice, but it doesn't make me think I'm in a place that's supposed to be cold and dark. Sheol is meant to be a place that's cut off from God, so you should feel lonely and afraid. The calmness of the original track just made it even scarier as you were walking down these halls. That's just my two cents though.

Well I know I complain every time a new track gets posted, but if previous two were kind of alright, this one really blows against the A Mourner Unto Sheol

common cold and technology is rad looking
(huge pic here) common cold and technology is rad looking
That is a fucking ginormous laser. Wiggly Worm + Polyphemus + technology 1 and 2? Also, how big is the hitbox for it? I remember that wiggly worm + technology makes it seem like it covers half the screen, but in reality it just makes it look wiggly, without actually changing how wide the laser is.
no polyphemus actually, just like every other damage up in the game sans sacred heart and polyphemus the hitbox is like normal technology size [editline]28th March 2014[/editline] ended up with battery + 9v so i had a button of rerolls
Is it just me or is Skeleton Baby not doing anything?
Is it just me or is Skeleton Baby not doing anything?
He's just there to look Pretty.
Same as the Devil Baby: They must only react to ennemis.
Say, y'know when I talked about "Isaac & Meat Boy Go To Hell" about a year and a half ago? Turns out someone else thought the idea of Isaac teaming up with Meat Boy was kinda cool, and it is now an indie crossover feature in some game called "Bardbarian". This is a thing now, apparently. Probably didn't come from my ideas, but it's a thing nonetheless. And it is awesome. And there is also Octodad in a suit of armour.
I spent my whole summer between freshmen and sophomore year at college playing TBoI, and it always has fond memories in my heart. How did you get into/hear about the game?
I spent my whole summer between freshmen and sophomore year at college playing TBoI, and it always has fond memories in my heart. How did you get into/hear about the game?
I first heard of it when I heard about the new thing from Edmund McMillen, then I got into Northernlion's Let's Play from which I managed to figure out the basics. Then I found this thread, and at one point my secret got out and one of our regulars (I forget your name, I sincerely apologize) was like "oh my god you've never played it?" and gifted me a copy, after which I played a lot and after the last time I played (mid-August last year) I'd racked up 67 hours. So yeah, that's how I got into BoI, and I eagerly await Rebirth.
I spent my whole summer between freshmen and sophomore year at college playing TBoI, and it always has fond memories in my heart. How did you get into/hear about the game?
Bought it on release because the creators(which was only Edmund, but I didn't know that back then) of SMB made it and it sounded amazing. Had 10h and then gave up because I found it too hard. Then I've watched Northernlion's LP(a little bit less than 100 episodes in) and started playing again. After that my friend bought it because he saw me playing it, frequently talked about it, and then we both got Golden God and played again with the WotL expansion, but we both have never gotten Platinum God. Funfact, all of those IRL friends bought and started playing BoI because of me saying it's one of the best games I've ever played: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198021078392/ 222h http://steamcommunity.com/id/nrgzr 149h http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044467589 92h http://steamcommunity.com/id/respawnz/ 75h http://steamcommunity.com/id/akuracono 235h I only told them to use wiki frequenly or ask me if they need help. Suddenly shitload of hours spent. And those are all the IRL friends that played it, not a single one didn't like it, let alone have less than 50 hours in it. BoI confirmed for masterpiece.
I got platinum god on saturday and it felt rewarding. BoI is probably one of my favorite games ever and all these fantastic rebirth gifs makes me only more excited to be able to play it on vita.
I actually can't remember how I heard about BoI. I may have got it in a Humble Bundle but I'm not sure.
Initially, my friend gave me a pirated copy of TBoI (please don't kill me). I'm still quite young so I have tonnes of free time, and I played the shit out of the pirated version (about 200 hours) and got platinum god. Then my guilt got to me and I bought a copy. And the silly me thought that deleting everything would get me steam achievements. Oh how wrong I was, and now I've racked up 100 hours on the legit version, nearing to Platinum God once again. TBoI is such an amazing game.
I actually can't remember how I heard about BoI. I may have got it in a Humble Bundle but I'm not sure.
I think i heard something about it because i played meatboy and knew another game was being developed. But honestly, i think the reminder has been Northernlion for me.
