omfg killing isaac with shit damage is such a nightmare
rngesus blessed me with a broken remote in the cathedral when I had 3 lives left, so I can teleport out of the room if I lose my holy mantle, essentially making me invincible, but my damage output is so bad that killing isaac is going to be excruciating

Got hit a bunch because couldn't see the fuck was going on, but it was fun.
Surprisingly, I got a bunch of mom stuff. Mom's Contact, Mom's Perfume and Mom's Eyeshadow. 3 dollar bill was in there too.
finally managed to beat Isaac after hours of trying
chest gave me cricket's head and stigmata, gave me the damage boost I needed to beat blue baby also
that was one of the hardest things i've done in a game and that was even with teleport cheese... jesus christ

Restarting feels kinda essential in hard mode boss rush for me, if my first floor is too shitty there's no point wasting another 10 mins trying to force it work
I don't reset til I get like Holy Mantle or something ridiculous but if I get something shitty then lose half my health on some enemy that surprises me I'm resetting that shit

Curse of the Blind, but had Dark bum and little chad
of coruse I get fucking Cursed Eye Shot, effectively cutting the run pretty short
Cursed Eye isn't that bad. If you have enough damage it can give you a decent amount of burst damage, and with penetrative shots it's great for groups.
Cursed Eye should let you tap the fire button to fire shots at your firerate
Aah shit, homing scythes backtrack after hitting an enemy and hit it twice. This is the best
5 dice room on Depths II. I might do boss rush twice... also get both polaroid and negative. Just need a teleport card
Tried "cheating" my way through the suicide king challenge by getting mom's knife or brimstone. After 40ish minutes of restarting I just said fuck it, let's just try and do it. Ended up getting goats head and then brimstone on floor 2...
Finally bougth the game. Didn't even bother waiting for it to be daily sale because I couldn't wait + the devs deserve the money. Any quick tips for an starter?

My guess is in the hundreds. I haven't even beat a single Lost run.

"Devil Deals" are deals where you trade heart containers in exchange for sometimes powerful, sometimes meh items. To get one, don't take Red Heart damage for an entire floor. Taking red heart damage lowers your devil deal chance significantly, but if you do, you can still have a CHANCE if you don't take damage on the boss...but if you take red heart damage on the boss, your chance is gone.
I say "red heart damage" because Soul Hearts, the blue hearts you pick up, don't count towards ruining Devil Deal chance. So getting as many of those as possible will help you significantly. However, there is no chance to get a deal with the devil on the 1st floor, so if you find some soul hearts lying around, beat the 1st floor and move on to the 2nd after picking them up. This will most likely help you avoid taking red heart damage and get a deal.
"Tinted rocks" are slightly different rocks that, when blown up with a bomb (Default key: E) hold Soul Hearts, Keys, and Chests, among other things. On the 1st and 2nd floors you can spot them by their slightly blue tint, but also the subtle "X" mark on them. Don't rely on the color, though; Tinted Rocks stop being tinted on the 3rd floor and beyond, instead opting to only have the X mark on them. So keep an eye out for those!
Make sure to keep a key for your treasure room, no matter what. It's tempting to open gold chests, but a guaranteed pedestal item isn't something to sneeze at. Only open gold chests and such [I]LAST [/I]on a floor, incase you stop getting keys and run out.
The donation machine in the shop is important for making the shop a worthwhile visit in the future. When you first enter your shop, it'll have 2 pickup items; nothing really worthwhile. Stick a few cents in the donation machine, though, and the shop will "level up"; the next shop you visit will have [I]3 [/I]items, and one of them will be a special shop item! The shop can be upgraded further, but the rewards become more expensive as you earn them. And the donation machine can jam, preventing you from putting more money in for an entire run! So make sure to donate when you get the chance; you'll probably need good shop items down the line.
You can create bridges to cross small gaps by bombing rocks adjacent to chasms; the debris will form a bridge, letting you walk across.
All floors have a "secret room", a room hidden in the walls that you must bomb your way into to get the goodies inside, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. They're typically hidden in an empty space surrounded by as many rooms as possible.

Cathedral as Maggie, 12 heart containers with only 1 heart left, just next to Isaac Boss room I find a secret room with four pills. Plz RNG gods I beg you, first pill: bad gas. Ok, let's try the next one: 48 hour energy, that's ok I guess, I have prayer card but full heart containers so it's useless. Third pill: FULL HEALTH, FUCK YES BASED RNG GODS. Let's try the last pill I don't even care if it's a health down, I'll just use the prayer card.
