You're going to love this, I just did that on my third try

This is the story of how due to a change of fortunes of great magnitude, I got carried so hard as blue baby I ended up clearing every room in the chest and got Dead Boy
I defeated It Lives with just 3 hearts left, thinking I'd have to restart the run because of my shocking performance but I had a couple of coins left and a Wheel of Fortune card, so I figured why not
A Fortune machine appears, so I plug a couple coins in: soul heart, cool, then a petrified poop pops out
ok, useless now that i'm so far into the levels, but one more coin
Out pops Card against Humanity. After one short trip to the biggest room in the level, filling it with shit, then destroying all of said shit, I returned to the Fortune machine with 99 buckaroos and milked it of all the soul hearts it was worth and raised my hearts to about all but four in total
My secret weapon though was a The World card, which showed me exactly where the Isaac room was, minimising the risk of getting there, but Deck of Cards gave me a Hermit card, which randomly teleported me RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BOSS DOOR LOL
This was the hardest part of the run, but even then I got carried hard by my Infamy mask

And that's when the difficulty ended as I got Gnawed leaf and Daddy longlegs in 2/4 chests at the start of The Chest lol gg
every room predictably became;

Berkano has got to be one of the most disappointing rewards.
I'm pretty sure Missing No. was supposed to be the reward for the Purist, as it is pretty evident in the order of the achievements that was going to be the case, but switched around several things in order to make the much more difficult Suicide King have a better reward.
Although I don't see why they didn't make something like the SMB Super Fan the unlockable instead.

I still don't get why Lazarus' boss rush item is Missing No. instead of something fitting.

Well I'm pretty certain it initially was supposed to be the Suicide King card that was supposed to be Lazarus' actual boss rush unlock, as the all the achievements are colour coordinated, with the exception of Missing No. which has a light lavender colour that the challenges are supposed to use and the Suicide King which is green that the boss rush unlocks use.

I guess they wanted it so only challenges unlock dropped items, as well as have a more worthwhile reward for the Suicide King challenge.
Still could of had it unlock Death's Touch and thematically fit, although not that it really matters as Lazarus has the Store Credit as well, which doesn't really make sense and let's not to forget accidental switcheroo of the babies.

I seem to be best with the characters everyone else hates, my best run was with Eve (beat lamb in 23 minutes), and I beat Isaac on my first Blue Baby run. To be fair on that Eve run I had Guppy + Number One and I have no clue what happened on the Blue Baby run.

Also Dead Cat + Guppy's Paw is a really good synergy in the later floors, I got dead cat on floor 1 (idk why, i guess i really wanted to become guppy) I managed to die to Satan by being a tard, I went to go get the hanged man, used it to get into the curse room, I got Guppy's Paw (which also turned me into guppy), now I could take 3 hits instead of 1, I beat Satan and with 4 lives left I beat The Lamb.

Mega Satan is such a cool boss, I'm really wondering why they didn't make items unlock for beating him. Now that I think of it, Godhead makes much more sense as an award for defeating evil incarnate.

I'm starting to think ludovico is not that great a lot of the time. If you get something also overpowered to complement it, like brimstone, it can be, but I'm finding that it's not always sustainable if you can't also evade enemies really well.

Just had a samson run where I got ludovico in the first treasure room, then death's touch, then poison shots, and so much good shit. But I got to the heart, and it felt like I would have been better off with just a regular-ass high fire rate. Just holding that huge poison scythe on top of the heart wasn't that great a rate of damage. Also I died at satan :v:

Those two are probably my favourites. It always makes me cringe a little when people say Eve is terrible and then proceed to stack health upgrades and walk around with full HP while complaining about the shit damage. That's like playing as Judas without using his Book of Belial.

Eve is also my favorite, the risk/reward is just about perfect , also being mindful of stuff you usually wouldn't be (picking up health ups, the necessity of finding blood donations if you can't find satan room etc)
My second favorite is eden because I like mixing things up. Eden was the first charachter I finished all hard mode with.

Just got the Dead Boy achievement. Not exactly sure how it happened. I had Dr. Fetus, 20/20 and Holy Mantle, and I found Ipecac towards the end of my run. I just ended up exploding right next to me when I fired and it didn't even damage me. Not sure which synergy caused that but it was so fun.

Oh man I love jera. It turns around almost any run you find it in. If you save all of your tarot cards until the end of the floor and put them all in one room and use multiple jeras, shit just goes so wacky. A temperance cards plus 2 suns plus 3 jeras brought me from 4 heart containers to 9 on a single floor.
