i prefer normal mode, because the feeling of "the rng hates you forever" isn't fun to me

I think it might something with pin dying when one of his segments is dead, and the HP is either the total segment health or the lowest, or some weird shit like that.

Prefer normal to no keys mode.
Oh I'm normal all the way. Regular Isaac's pretty hard on its own, and knowing my luck I don't think I'd be able to survive on Hardmode.
all that hard mode does is make pickup drops less likely after clearing rooms, removes the 100% chance of bosses dropping hearts and increases the chance of enemies spawning as champions, so basically rng makes almost no difference in hard mode than in normal mode
Guillotine is such an off putting item it's not that bad I guess but it's so disorienting I don't want to pick it up
the cooldown on it is way too high for what it does, half the time your head shoots in the wrong direction unless it's against a static boss where you can place the head in a good position, and it doesn't do anything else special just gives you a bit more damage and tears
edit it effectively ended a decent run so there's that

Honestly I don't see how people could regularly play hard mode. It's not hard in a satisfying way, it's bullshit no keys forever mode. It's one of the weakest part of rebirth, right behind co-op.
Speaking of co-op, after a while of playing, I got a couple of questions. First of all, can you add more than one heart to the co-op baby? I read somewhere before rebirth got released that if you continue pressing the start button, you'll add more health from player 1 to player 2, but for me it just despawns the baby. Secondly, holy shit the baby is terrible do you think there'd ever be a mod that just replaces the baby with another isaac? I know how terribly overpowered that would be but to be honest I would prefer that over the baby which I honestly find pretty useless. Edmund should have made co-op with two isaacs and achievements disabled over this.

someone posted a video of two isaacs on the last page. i just hope it gets released soon.
The game is forgiving me for my last 5 awful runs, I'm playing as eve and on the first 2 floors I got:
Basement 1: 4 Soul hearts (2 of which from a joker card), piggy bank, 2 keys, safety pin, compass from judgement
Basement 2: Magic mushroom, another joker card which gets me spirit of the night, I fight the fallen and I get brimstone
(seed is ZNKM JAPV)
Does the game give you better luck when you're on a losing streak or something?
EDIT: beat the lamb in 28 minutes (would've been a little quicker if i didn't do the boss rush)

After 27 hours I still haven't actually become guppy.
